Halo 2

Tonight, at 12:01am I will be waiting outside of my local EB Games in anticipation of getting Halo 2. I had previously traded in 3 games so I could get it for free (The games sucked.), and tonight is the night. I don't know how long I'll be there, watching, waiting, or how many people will be there, but I will be. At least I know I won't be there for more than an hour. they said the line cutoff was 1 AM, soooooooo...

I'll be posting a Stray Review when I get enough time on the game, editing this post when I do.

Until then, I suggest an open discussion on the game, if anyone cares ^_^


I've refrained from reading any eviews and only watching a couple in-game movies to save myself from spoilerage, so, it's basically all new to me, and I can't wait!

I don't own an XBOX (I'm a PS2 person) but I know a couple people who are going to be out there waiting. All day one of my friends kept saying like "12 hours, 15 minutes" ... "12 hours" ..."11 hours 45 minutes" it was quite amusing, but he did getting annoying after awhile ^.~

I'm not a big gamer as I used to be back in the days of Super Nintendo XDD

My husband is a big gamer though and owns an Xbox and works at our local Gamestop. He'll be working from 11:30-2 AM tonight/tomorrow for Halo 2's release. They're expecting a big crowd o.o!

I splashed out on a second-hand XBox quite recently, as I liked the idea of playing over Live with a couple of friends who have one. I currently can't get enough of Ninja Gaiden o_o

I never played much of Halo, but the sequel does look pretty impressive. Perhaps I'll wait for the Stray review before I fork out even more cash ^^

No X-Box games really interest me, so I never bought the system. Halo was a generic first-person shooter (TimeSplitters 2 blows it away) with some great vehicle stuff.

So I'm not one of the millions looking forward to Halo2.

I'll be getting it and an Xbox for Christmas (mom already told me.. heh) so I'll be buying Xbox Live for Christmas. If you have Xbox Live, you should post your name here so we can play with each other and stuff.

I don't play it, but I am CONSTANTLY hearing about it around the TGP (That Gaming Place) store I hang out at. The guys there eat, sleep, and breath Halo. Hell, they made an entire room dedicated to playing the game.

They went out and bought the game at midnight, then had a tourniment at 12:30. They are crazy I tell ya.

I didn't like the first one to be honest, but I have lots of friends who are waiting for it to be released over here and I guess I'll be forced to play it at some stage XD

I don't own an X-Box - and I don't think I'd buy one for the game, since I'd want to play the game online and aren't willing to subscribe to Live! - but I'm eagerly waiting for the eventual PC version to appear :D

On Novemember 9th I went down to EBGames after I got my starbucks. *next door* They were sold out, and people were all psycho about it.

"OMG BESTBUY, TARGET, AND YOU GUYS DONT HAVE IT!"

It made me burst out laughing...we have about fifty copies of it at my work STILL. But almost no one realizes we sell games, plus we were actually selling it at 40 bucks a pop. I really could've told them where they could get a copy, but I think microsoft should die for entering the console world. Besudes, pretty + generic = pretty generic. 'nuff said.

Those of you who have not bought Halo 2 yet I woudn't bother. In my opinion from playing it, Bungie not only changed 90% of the game style from the first one (which in my opinion sucks), the storyline for it was average at best. The ending was also terrible but I won't ruin it for you by telling you what it was.

I don't think Halo 2 comes even close to living up to the first one and I would not recommend buying it if you have not already.
