Huzzah! I finally got Episode 2: Introduction and Scene 1 mixed! Also, because I'm using my boyfriend's cable internet, I was able to upload the full episodes of scene 3 of episode one, and the entire episode 2 scene 1, as well as sectioned downloads for modem users =)

My critique:

Miki, great acting and thanks for putting up with my bothersomness, but you've been recording MUCH to quietly - I've been having to boost the sound both with volume control as well as giving it a 10b amplification o.0 Which results in fuzzy playback. (This is also why Introduction has varying sound qualities)

Noel - Lovely as usual ^_^ A few places where you had your mouth too close to the mic or just spoke too loudly: you're the only person whose files I actually have to use volume REDUCTION on XB Also... Kara's British accent is totally nonexistant, but that' sokay. Malcom didn't have an accent either XD

Tolmek - I adore your Silver Knight, and how different he sounds from Sora. There will be interaction between the two at some point, which will be killer to hear! Great sound quality, and great growl =)

topleka - lovely Lady Subaru, as always. Good sound quality as well, and very great job on your acting. No problems here; I had to boost the volume a bit, but that's also because I was trying a new mixing technique - "This person is over to Kara's left, so you only here him/her out of the LEFT speaker... Ooh, pan..."

Edwyn - I love your voice =) You make for a very sexy Jyuunichi. There are only a couple places where he didn't sound quite how the line came out in my head, but that's okay: it never quite works that way with online voice acting, and you still make the lines sound superb. Great sound quality and volume as well.

Kenshin - Other than initial quality problems (which didn't matter much as I totally butchered your voice anyway for the emailer effects), you did great. I kinda wished I could keep your original acting for those lines as you did such a great job, but the emailer had to sound distorted - and distorted it is, now ._. You get a bigger part in Ep3, which I'm totally looking forward to =3 You've been a charm to work with. Just work on your mic/recording quality, as well as your mouth-to-mic/mic-to-mouth distance.

Hmmm.. that's everyone, yes? Okay, now for me XD

Mixing - a couple of iffy spots, namely with SFX and music. I couldn't find a good sound for the axe clattering on the grouind and had no time to make the sound myself, so that one sounds lame. The walking sounds better since I actually bothered to use Sounddogs, which has MUCH better walking SFX than findsounds.com. The volumes are still bothersome for me, and due to the fact that I rushed the last bit sof mixing juuuust before work while my boyfriend was to my left, BSing with his clan in MechWarrior so loudly that it totally drowned out even my headphones, some of the mixing may be off a bit. Also, the music flow is sometimes iffy. But I liked the use of Grief when Kenshin said "Zonic" XD

Oh dear. >< I think I understand what's happening. I believe I'm recording while my volume is turned up so I can't tell what volume it "actually" is, you know? Whether it's too quiet for other people or not.

Anyway.

Intro- Miki-Chan, Ick. You sound sick. Har har...you are. It was all right, but you sound muted.

Episode Two, Scene One- I really enjoyed this. I love Noel's voice, as always, and I've always taken a liking to topleka, Edwyn, and Tolmek. I haven't heard Kenshin's voice before. Though, I can't exactly hear it now, either, XD it sounds really cool.

Nice job, Jeishii; keep up the awesome work.

Wow, for awhile I was wondering what was going on with this production. :P And here I am, logging on to the VAA for the first time ine months and a scene gets released today!!

I thought this scene was well done, and you can really see the improvement in quality from the previous scenes (not that those were bad either -- I know I liked them a lot!).

Overall Comments: I kind of like the narrator having the lower voice as oppoesed to the girlier one she had earlier on. Music was good and fit well, and I was definitely drawn into the story early on. The whole e-mail thing was well executed -- I got goosebumps, especially when I heard the e-mailer said "Zonic" when listing names -- Really, for two reasons: 1) He's Kara's brother and 2) He's my character!! Haha, fun plot twist, can't wait to see where he ends up. :P

Character Reviews:

MikiChan - Narration is definitely improving with each scene. I'm liking it :D.
Noel - A stellar job, as with all the scenes. Keep it up!
topleka - A little quiet, but otherwise appropriate for the leader of the Crimson Knights ^_^.
Tolmek - I'm amazed at how different the Silver Knight's voice is from Sora's. Again, good voice, no complaints.
Edwyn - Jyunnichi sounds like fun! Good job helping Aradia. I like the voice -- smoothness ^^.
Kenshindude - The e-mailer sounded awesome. I got goosebumps :D.

When do I get to be in this again?? can't wait for the next one :D

The next scene =3 I believe the next scene is solely the people who have been kidnapped. I'll start sending out lines for that after I check to make sure I still have my full cast for it. Can you give me your email again to make sure I have the right one?

lol this scene is exactly 10 lines long... two of which belong to the Narrator XD Every kidnapped person gets one line >w<

The twinkies idea was one that Nida Richards (the voice of Victoria and the creator of said character) were talking about what we'd do if we were hackers in The World... and we'd said we'd find a way to send subliminal messages to kids to max out their parent's credit cards on twinkies XD
