Project information -
Sequel to a machinima I made (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6xw-tZrJ9Y8). The series is basically e-mails/letters from residents of Liberty City writing to family members or friends about various topics.
In this particular film, a girl writes home about her new boyfriend who, despite all her glorification, is in reality a bit of an ass. It's meant to be a comedy. The script is still a bit here-and-there while footage is still being gathered.
Recording and Contact information -
-Record in MP3 Format, I'm not too knowledgable on the variations, so, whatever there.
-Save the lines simply as the number attributed to the line, the character name, then your credit name (the name that would appear on the credits, obviously).
-Send your auditions to vampire_disco@hotmail.co.uk, or, preferablly, transfer over MSN/WLM to the same address.
Characters-
MAIN CHARACTERS
FEMALE
"Writer"
Age: 19-25
Bio: Mildly 'bitchy' character, a fairly competant liar, dresses like a beatnik and has a moderately pessemistic view on life. In her letter to her mother, she openly denies her boyfriend's thugishness, instead describing him as a cultured, caring gentlemen, when really he enjoys smashing up cars and getting into cop chases.
Voice type: Invariably calm tone, American (though I couldn't say where abouts in America she comes from; I'm British. But nothing extreme like a Texan drawl or a Brooklyn accent, instead, maybe Californian or Washington, if theyre what I imagine them to be.)
Audition line 1: Hey Mom, hey Dad, how's it going? (Lying) Things here are great(!)
Audition line 2: He's [Boyfriend] great. He's got a nice car... A big house... And he's just the most caring guy I've met here in Liberty City...
MALE
"Boyfriend"
Age: 25-30
Bio: Absolute bully of a boyfriend. Smoking, drinking hedonist. Is an open and honest thug who has equally cruel friends. Has no IQ to speak of.
Voice Type: Gruff, Brooklyn Accent. Deep.
Audition Line 1: (Shouting) I'm tryin' to watch TV!!
Audition Line 2: (Passenger in a car) Hahaha! Faster! Faster!!
MINOR CHARACTERS
These characters will mainly get one line and be finished with. Any voice type accepted, additional info included below. Brooklyn accent prefered.
Taxi Driver
Line: (Running away having hit another car) Holy craaap!!
Helicopter Pilot
Middle-Aged
Line: (Trying to land a wobbling, spinning helicopter on a building top) Whoa!! Wait... wait... I'll get this! Just, hold on! Wait..! Whoa, nearly! Oh boy! Y'know, this probably aint the best time to tell you I got a fear of heights!
Bus Driver
Gruff
Line: Get outta the road!!
Hot Dog Vender
Slightly eastern (asian) accent
Line: Here ya' go, ma'am.
Terrorist
Line: (Failing to be noticed by anyone) Hey! Heey! Over here! Hellooo?! Can nobody see me? I'm right here! Aw come on!
Ambulance Driver
Line: (Having just run over the man he was sent out to aid) Whoopsie!
