Hey! I'm... err.. grounded. Badish report card (Got a C). So, I'm probably going to be having UBER minimal contact. You can still contact me on my gmail addy, and I should be able to get back to you. Producers- please don't recast me!!!! I'll get any lines due your way the instant I'm back online at home. (At school now). Sorry! If it makes you feel better (It doesn't make my parents) I've got A's in all my classes so far. So- yeah. This is why I haven't been on lately. But- I should still be going to Nekocon! Wohoo!

If it makes you feel better, I get grounded for getting any mark below 80% and I get a long lecture for anything below 90%

Well look at it this way, as we get older parents gradually loose their power over us, sure we still respect them. But there isn't that sence of ore. Parents get used to that, and feeling it ebb slowly day by day as the children they've created become indpendantly responcible is bound to leave them with a sence of loss and lack of control. Reassure them that you under stand the principle reason they're doing this (their own inevitable insecurity) but isn't there a better way of producing higher grades that some archane punishment method?

actually skip that they'll just accuse you of being "cheeky". We only got grounded for setting things on fire. (ah, those were the days)

Eh, well, I kind of see where the parents are coming from when I look back. I was all "A"s until I started using the internet/computer regularly (and by regularly I mean from 4pm - 3am) and failed a few subjects. My mom "let me do my thing" as I kept assuring her my marks were "good" and that a midterm report card "meant nothing" until I failed/barely passed some classes. That's when things got tough. >_< Thank god I'm married now and making a lot of money, and also living 3000km away from here. SHE CAN'T GROUND ME OVER MSN NOW CAN SHE!!!!!!!!

Anyway, yeah, story went: she took the computer out of my room, but let me keep the TV and VCR in there and I didn't get it back until I shaped up and got my shit together. >_>

my mum thinks im not so smart :? but in reality im smart >.< dammit! cant she understand!? she thinks that my brother is sooo smart and gives him money for getting good grades, but when i do i get nothing  why do mothers give us lectures >.< they are usually useless!!!!
i can never get grounded because my mum doesnt quite know what being grounded is >.< even if she says i'm not allowed to go on the computer i still do because she can't do anything about it! hohohohohoho!!! >.<

The problem with taking computer time away is that some of the things that people do on the computer Is actually quite creative.

The VAA has to be the most creative thing I've done with the net in a long time. It's kind of throwing the baby out with the bath water. Parents see internet and then they panic. If they took a little time to see what the technology can do now than maybe they'd be less prone to knee jerk reactions. Oh and less likely to buy their 12 year old sons G.T.A. San Adreas.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA.

Psh, you let your parents know what you make? XD Why not lie to them like I do? "Oh! Thats not my real score! Grades weren't finalized yet, and everyone else's score was messed up. my REAL average is an 88."
