Amoung the two most intresting Projects I have seen both involve yu gi oh
But what I have heard was that there are two sets of rules one the actual
play and one for the show but that is one thing I would reallly like to be
clearafied .
and secondly this is a game I would really like to Learn is the best way to
learn this are thete any books that i should be reading in order to learn
how to play this .
Dave Corson :)
buy a starter deck off ebay they come with offical rules for the CCG. also check out upperdeck.com under yugioh for card restrictions and other info regarding game play.
CCG rules are entirely different than rules shown in the tv series, especially for card effects etc.
deck construction can get expensive...i should know better...i've wasted too much money on cards ^^; yet i continue to buy them...
as for learning the game, i suggest watch the show and see how duels are done but keep in mind the official rules when you get around to playing the actual game. It's just a matter of skill and understanding what cards will work best for you in your deck.

CCGs are evil. Don't get started. Don't even THINK about getting started. They will be your undoing. Trust me. You will thank me when you don't pick it up. @_@ And you will curse the day you ever started when you're paying a hundred dollars for a little piece of cardboard.

Edwyn has a point *curses all of his expensive cards* LOL XD
Lila is also right, you should buy the starter decks so you can get a feel of the game. The starter decks also come with instruction booklets. Once you get a hang of it you can start making your own... which can get very expensive if you want a good deck... i.e. Needle Worm, Morphing Jar, CED, BLS curse you all!!! XDDD;
Don't read too much into the T.V. show as its only meant to be used as a general outline. Some of the cards there have some outrageous effects :shock:

Buy one of theolder Yugioh games on sale, they have the rules and you don'thave to pay for more cards. A friend of mine brought me Dark Duel Stories and it was fun I also had a demo from Shonen Jump.
