I'm sure most people here remember this time consuming, exciting, and kick ass book as a child.

I was eating cereal this morning when I noticed an old I Spy book laying on the kitchen counter so I picked it up... and started searching. I have to say, I still can't find some of the stuff on some of the pages in this book (the effing stamp on a wall of pictures, for example...).

Walter Wick (Photographs) and Jean Marzollo (Riddler) are pretty much the best people in the world for creating this book together. I really think their series was one of the best "hide-and-seek" shiz every made (besides Where's Waldo? I have to say that book was also quite genius as I still can't find Waldo at the carnival).

So how many of you remember this book? Which book from the collection was your favorite and why? If you had the chance right now would you go pick up a new copy of one of the books (I sure would).

I think one of my favorites was the mansion book (I think it was a mansion, i only remember these huge ass creepy dolls in a room--it probably was a haunted house or something). But whatever the name of the book was called, I loved it. I'll probably end up looking for it over the summer (assuming they're stil around). >>

I loved those books! I can't remember too much about it although It was really hard to find stuff. I used to have a computer game for the I Spy books where you just click on the items to find them. I spy was really hard to find stuff. But, it was a fun book especially for killing time since once you started trying to find something, it was hard to stop since you wanted to find it.

Oh my god! I love these! I did them with my brother when we were little, and my little sis used to bring them home from the school library years later. I was always a very good finder, I'm pleased to say.
The treasure hunt one was always my favorite because it reminded me of Peter Pan(what? why?) which I was obsessed with as a kid(the book, not the Disney movie 'cause I've never seen it).
The funhouse one always freaked me out. No clue why.
Oooh, and remember Spooky Night? That was fun too! X3
...Now I want to go buy one. D:

I never owned those I Spy or Where's Waldo? books. =( My parents wanted me to read more educational stuff instead =\ But whenever I got the chance I would love to read them at the library. I absolutely loved them when I was growing up. And still do >.>;

If I remember correctly... I think my favorite one was the Fun house one. I just really love all the circus and carnival like settings =) Now that I think back, all the photographs in all the books were so beautiful! Ah... Typing about this makes me want to go and read one of the books o_<

I can actually see that.
Use your little stylus to click on stuff when you find it.

I have the Halloween I Spy, and enjoyed many other I Spy and Where's Waldo books when I was little. My mom and I would spend forever looking for the things we couldn't find.

Plus, I freaking love LittleKuriboh's quote from Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series, which makes me want to make a Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged I Spy picture:

"I spy with my little eye, something beginning with 'gay clown.'"

Namiko, that quote completely made me laugh out loud because it made me think of that episode. ^ ^ Oh man, Yugioh abridged...good stuff.

But anyway. I Spy. Bizarre crazy fun. I only recall having one book when I was little and I think it had the doll's house...but I don't remember which one it was. Good times though; it was crazy trying to find all the stuff.

(I'm still laughing at that Yugioh abridged quote...)

Those books were SO awesome when I was little. I collected them all, I think. My favorite one was the "Spooky Night."
