Hey has anyone here read The Caine Mutiny? We have to read the entire book by April 4 in my College English class.
Then we have to do all sorts of mumbo jumbo stuff that you do with books in english.
Mabye some of the discussion could be useful for me...

Edit: Ok, well on one has heard of The Caine Mutiny, figures. Well how about,
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, by Ken Kesey?

I haven't necessarily read the book, but I have seen the movie (freakin' amazing acting) and the main plot was actually pretty interesting, but since this is about books I'll just keep it limited to that

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was one of the best books I read last year, and if you have the chance, I say read it. Chief Bromden's schizophrenia is interesting because of how it works symbolically in his mind with what is going on.

I also agree that the movie with Jack Nicholson was awesome.

I read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest this summer.
I enjoyed it...well, compared to most stuff I read.
I'm not what you'd call a reader.

I liked the movie, and it stayed fairly true to the book, but it did change a few things I wish it hadn't. Jack Nicholson was good as McMurphy, but he didn't LOOK like the character I imagined...I got over it though.
