Just did this for another forum (replying to someone who protested that she didn't like Mr. Voiceover)--thought I might put it up here for anyone who wants to offer crits.

Didn't get the voice quite as gravelly as I might have liked, but I wasn't going to bother with taking the time to phlegm up. VO Dialogue taken from Alpha-Shade's flash thingummy that he's working on. Music taken from Madame Butterfly, the bit right near the end.

Who is Mr. Voiceover?

Forgive the ignorance. to me, MR. Voiceover is Jim Cummings. XD

The game project that I'm a part of made a trailer movie for the game. We happened upon the one person who's arguably able to do a PERFECT imitation of the guy you're talking about. I challenge you to go to http://wildfiregames.com/0ad/viewtopic.php?t=5 and check the trailer for yourself. At first, I thought it was the dude himself, but this guy is 'just' an amateur voice actor.

Ooh, splendid . . although . . the words are a little ungrammatical at the start. But very good imitation. (I think there are *two* Mr. Voices, actually, doing trailers and VO, but I cannot find the page that told me so now).

This has nothing to with VAing, too, but the camera is awfully static for a lot of it too. With such detailed models (as we see from the zoom-closeup of the eye), there's no reason not to have the camera move a bit. The bit with the naked savage and the axe, for example, would be improved by a pan or interspersed closeup or something . . .

I know that dude, he was all over every trailer in the 80's

"It was a time of war"
"It was a time of heros"
"It was a time of war and heros"

Classic.

Wow.

I heard a few places that a producer would ask for more polish.

DANG that was good, though. Well done, man. :)
