Hey, I enjoyed this! I dont' know what sort of accent you were masking, but whatever it was, I couldnt' tell it. So...good job!

Now for some critiques:

First thing I notice is that the music seems to be a little overpowering in a majority of cases.

Second is that there is some measure of "dead air" between the lines. It tends to drag the whole demo down a bit.

the reads on "There is nothing you can do to save them" and "Who do they think they are. " seemed a little flat, like you could have put much more vocal variety and energy into them. THe first felt like a Sniper Wolf type of character, so I'd go with a more seductive tone for that one. As for the latter, it seemed like it was intended to be some sort of robot. So the flatness would make sense, except for the way the line is written. The character is obviously not without emotion. "Hmmph. Attack them." would indicate arrogance or disdain, neither of which I picked up in your reads.

Hope this is some help!

I want to listen, but putfile hates my soul and doesn't ever work. D= Any chance you could e-mail it to me? =D

D: I don't get what you mean. ><

Yea, that character is supposed to be arrogant and evil (kinda XD).
Monotone characters are my specialities X3

Thank you SO MUCH for this critique! I will try to put more emotions in my voice next time and calm the music down abit o.o

Thanks alot!

THere's a lag between the end of one line and the beginning of another. All that there is in those segments are music.

Flowing Properly a demo leaves you wanting more of the last voice even as you're hearing the new one. check out the house demos at http://www.voicebank.net for examples.

Glad I was of some help!

British Accent limiting? Bah! Just look at David Ault of DarkerProjects.com! He, in all the projects I've heard him in, just uses his natural voice. British dialect. Ooh soo cool! The key thing is to be believable as the character, and you have it made, no matter what dialect you have. :)

You are getting slightly better, but honestly, even when you're yelling/trying to show a lot of emotion, it still comes out as fake. It almost seems as if you're just speaking the lines instead of really getting into the characters and the emotion. You can't rely on monotone voices, EVERYONE can do monotone. But even monotone characters show emotion every now and then. Think about the character you're about to speak for, think about the situation, think about how YOU (and the character) would react in a situation like that (no matter how outrageous it may be). You can't just say the lines in a different tone and expect it to come out great. You reeeeeeally gotta work on emotion more.

But I know you can do it! =D

I have to agree with Mochan. Without an doubt, you have improved. Your way of speaking is a bit more natural and smooth in some clips, but I still hear some inflections that make certain lines a bit awkward. Trust in your emotions and try to let it all go in the moment. ^^

Playing a monotone character can be tricky. There are instances where you have to have this subtle way of showing emotion, and depending on the situation, even a monotone character can feel outraged and such.

You are progressing nicely. Keep up the good work, Jrocker! =^^=

Well you see, whenever I try to show alot of emotions, I'm afraid I'll annoy the neighbours ^^;
It takes me a couple of times to get things right but I will try my best at putting emotions in my speech :D
I know how (I think lol) but I just need some one to direct me. I'm not always sure of my work D:

Thanks alot for your time! :D

Thank you, Sayaka! Yes, you're right, Monotone characters can be tricky. I've listened to some monotone characters and now I have realised that they actually show some emotions x3 *hits self on the head*
Thanks for listening to my demo. I hope i progress by the next one. 8D

XD British accents are awesome! I have one but I try to mask it most of my time here at the VAA because most people here are American and they might not understand anything I say (not always the case XD).

@Sparf: I have updated the demo reel and cut the ''dead air'' in it ^^
It sounds way better. Thanks for the advice!

@Mochan: You'd do that? *o* Thank you SO much, Mochan! I've been kinda scared of asking people to review my work because they might be busy/cant be bothered/waste of time etc.

I'll try not to take too much advantage of that.
Thanks alot! <3

You've improved, and you will continue to. I'm sure of it! ^^

I don't want to make you feel like I'm a stalker:sweat, but, I looked up your other demos/work and whatnot and comparing them to this one, you've improved tremendously! I like your characters that you chose and I'd have to say that this was really great! I'd like to say that there's still room for improvement and that I'd bet that if I see your performances, they'd be awesome.
