Great stuff! This Little Gou handled some pretty grim themes, but I thought the humour really won out in the performances and it was highly entertaining.

Drifter XGS – thought the throaty voice for Kang was just perfect – he really came alive and did a splendid one-man double act with Liu. :-P Plus it was really distinct from Ying, which was also good.

Yuriko52's performance as Lung was great, too. In particular I thought she did the humour really well, bantering with Gou and later Kang. Perhaps she could've been a tiny bit more fiery in the cells(?) but she sounded just right in the part.

Bomberman was an extremely nasty (in the very best way :) ) Scarecrow Bai. It really was a repellent character and I thought his performance really brought that out brilliantly.

Aramek, well, charismatic and spot on as ever. The voice of the elderly Imperial Uncle in particular was simply wonderful.

Ultrarob, the best and funniest performance as Gou to date, I thought - sterling stuff. That bantering (in the acting and also in the tight directing) between Gou and Lung and also Kang was really important in a story like this. It gave it a lightness and real momentum.
Maybe there could've been a little more background noise in the fight scene in the first half a minute, but otherwise I thought the mixing was great.
There were some real highlights, one of which was when Gou and Kang went down to the cells – the combination of their conversation with the creaking of the floorboards – it just sounded exceptionally good. The use of music was really nice, too.

Overall, I found some of it slightly unsettling in places, very funny and a cracking good story.
Congrats to everyone!

I'm excited. I've been waiting for this, so I can't wait to download it.

Thanks for the compliment, fthrll! That made my day. :D

One thing, though, UltraRob...you misspelled my name. Heh. It's "t-e-n," not "t-o-n." Common mistake. :P

I am downloading this to listen in the car during the long slushy ride home. Lol im just glad that you liked the kang and ying voices. I tried to hit them just right but it was fun to bounce from one to the other. Im sure everyone who worked on this did an awesome job which is why I love these little gou stories.

Thanks guys! :)

I hope you enjoy them when your downloads finally finish!

And thanks you too fThrll! This is the longest Little Gou story to date, and I wasn't sure how it was going to come out. However, hearing how much you enjoyed it takes a lot of the worry away. :sweat

I make it a practice not to review my own work or actors in public, but I will comment that all of the people involved in this did a great job and made the long hours of mixing it a lot easier!

Rob

P.S. Sorry Quinten! Fixed that! :sweat

Hahaha, that was wonderful. Very good acting, superb mixing, excellent script. Loved it!

bomberman, I wouldn't have know it was you if I hadn't read it. You're an extremely versatile actor! I'm constantly amazed.

Just got home and listened to it. Im pretty critical of myself(own worst critic lol) but except for the lisp and some mic stuff I think it did pretty well for me. I even made ying sound like the pervy creep he was so kudos on me lol.

Aramek-You are top notch man, The uncle was great and the sniveling butler sounded right on.

Bomberman- Few people can pull off high pitch and evil but you did it with style man, great job.

Yuriko-You did good too yuriko. I would recommend a bit more passion with some of the lines but you did them very well on most all the read. Keep up the good work.

Ultra-rob- As always another enjoying venture working with you on little gou and another good story, little gou voicework awesome as well. These just seem to get better and better every time we do one.

Overall very well done. ^_^
