Um...well the slow sever sucked but finally got to see it at last.

Well, let's see..the picture quality wasn't all that great, the overall sound quality wasn't great either.

Scripting:
The scripting was pretty good for the most part but...
Amy Mizuno Anderson? The mixing of japanese and english dub names just sounded really messed up...(to me at least), other then that everything else seemed alright.

Random comments on some of the Voices
Kara Dennison/ Ami - You were good but personally I hate that accent and it kinda made her sound a bit older then she should be.

topleka/Serena: Hearing you as sailor moon was just a bit weird compaired to the others that are out there, but you did a really good actng job.

Nikitta/Rei - Umm, You had a good voice for her but your mic quality was kinda bad. Everytime you spoke you had an echo around you.

SFXs
It seemed like the sfxs were noise/vocal reduced and that made then not sound all that great.

Also the ending credits are off. Since you are using the english names, Makoto's english name is Lita, not Leda.

and last the ending song was pretty cool in english..

The quality of the sound is really poppy and snappy.

The script...I nearly turned it off at the first line. 'Oh hi, you'? Worst pun ever, if it was supposed to be one. :/ Does it say that Ami's parents are divorced in the original Japanese? I don't remember that at all. And Ami 'Mizuno' Anderson...? What? I can't understand the need for the random mixing of dub/sub names. There's really no point.

Voice Acting:

Ami: You have a good pitch sense for the role, and wonderful acting skills. But after conversing with others, we've decided that the accent used makes Ami sounds like Glinda on speed. Or an old Care Bear. We're still considering. :/

Rei: really good voice. It's like the dub, only less annoying as hell. <3

Mako: Sounds a little too much like Haruka...

Minako: I don't think this voice fit at all, but the acting was decent *nod*

Usagi: I was listening to the audio as I typed this and I couldn't pick your voice out which means that you probably could have been more emphatic, I think. I'd go back to try and find you, but the video refuses to let me pick a certain spot to play it from and I don't feel like starting over...

Chibi Usa: Was this voice digitally altered to be squeaker? It sounds a bit like that...

Artemis: Blue, I can never figure out why so many people cast you as Artemis :P As much as I love your voice it's way too low for him <3

And I'm turning this off now because I have to get back to sewing. @.@

Sound a video quality was bad... Ami's VA used annoying accent, and I couldn't understand her half the time, but she had good acting! ^_^ It was still pretty good, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Sailor Moon. =3

I reduced it from 25.5 mega bytes to a mere 5 megs in the hopes everyone could a) download faster b) actually open the file. I often find huge files I download are supposedly "corrupt" in winzip by the time I get them. And yet others find no problems with them.

Yes, Miss Brooke requested that her voice be modified. Why, I'm not sure.

The mixture of the dub names was to incoperate all fans (DiC, Cloverway, purist and manga) under one umbrella. The idea was that Ami kept her mother's maiden name, "Mizuno", and her father's name, "Anderson".

Yes, "Oh, hi you" is a pun.

It's true Ruth's voice does not fit Minako's voice perfectly to pitch. However, she was selected because of her acting, and her ability to convey Mina's sincerety and seriousness in the situations despite her seeming to be silly about them. Even as a goofball, Mina is almost always honest about her emotions.

Please note I said the quality was reduced, so that is why the audio seems bad/crackly.

I'm willilng to personally e-mail the file to anyone who would like to recieve the high quality version, until it can be made availibe on a more reliable server. Speaking of which, thank you, Tamtu for uploading it.

...sorry, but that's really stupid. Pick one camp, either or, but if you try to mix both people are more likely to think it's weird rather than be happy with it. Especially if you have to change a characters background in order to do it.

*watches* Nice so far. Watch your mixing. Sometimes, the music drowns out the voices. Plus, I'm used to watching "grainy" versions of Ami-Chan no Hatsukoi -- The first version I saw was a 4mb RealPlayer file, and the quality wasn't great, either, so... I'm used to it. ^_^

The SFX are brilliant. They sound just like the original. :)

I like Blue-San's Artemis. ^_^ Very neat.

Amy did sound a bit older than she should be. But she was pretty cool. :) Plus, as she went on, I either got used to it, or she got better.

Chibi-Chan could do with sounding a bit higher pitched. She's got about the right pitch that Usagi-Chan should have. (Usagi was a bit low for my tastes.)

Mamo-Chan's voice is yummy. <3

And her new attack has such a shiny clean feel to it. I love it.

And Mercurius was actually an anagram of his name in the original version *snerk*. Not because he's "curious", as they translated it in America.

Yay, just got finished with it. It was good, but the quality is just...bleh...you really shouldn't have made it such a low quality just for a low file size. Also, did you crop out half the animation because of subtitles? o.O If so, that's really unnecessary. I'd rather see the whole screen WITH subs than just half of it. A lot of times, a character's head was cut off or not shown (ie Chibi Usa). The mixing was good, though I noticed a lot of times, when a character walked, it sounded very hollow and unfitting. The fight scenes and most of the other scenes were all very well mixed with sound effects. The music was really good, you did a great job with that. Now to get on to cast specifics...[in order of how I normally critique them], also note that I don't look at the cast list thingie so I'm not going to be more kind to one person than to someone else that I don't know as well. Except I know Blue played Artemis, and that's just from reading Danae's post.

SERENA/SAILOR MOON - I didn't think you were bad as Serena, it's just you wouldn't make a good Serena for the entire series. A "special", especially this one, where Serena is in the background and doesn't really do a lot, it's not a big deal. It's just you don't have the high pitched annoyingness that is Serena. ^_^; But that can be a good thing, too. I did like your voice for this and I'm glad you were her, I just wouldn't want to see a series of Sailor Moon dubs with you as Serena, because I think you'd do so much better with a different character (I can definitely see you as, say, Mina).

AMY/SAILOR MERCURY - At first, I was like...woah. o.o But your voice for Amy grew on me and it's actually quite good for her. That, matched with your acting skills, made it a very enjoyable dub, seeing as you were in 70% of the episode.

RAYE/SAILOR MARS - Okay, what's with the mic? It's really buzz-y, but your voice for Raye was really good so I won't nitpick too much with the mic thing. You were my favorite voice in the dub. If only you had a GOOD microphone, you'd be top notch. :D

LITA/SAILOR JUPITER - Sounded waaaay too masculine. Lita's a girl, right? Okay, just checking. The acting was good, though, despite her black-bulldyke-that-smokes-constantly voice.

MINA/SAILOR VENUS - Waaaay too deep, like Lita. The voice just doesn't fit at all. The acting was good, it's just one scene I remember you didn't really put a lot of energy into it. In the series, Mina has a LOT of energy, and she sounds hyper a lot (though not as much as Serena). You just kind of sounded dull and bored. You would have been good for the monster, though, I think.

LUNA - It says in the cast list that Luna has a voice in this? I don't remember seeing her.

ARTEMIS - Like Danae said, your voice is too deep for Artemis. But the acting is really good for it, and it's not so different from the original that it makes it unenjoyable. I like you as him, but you'd might make a better Darien.

RINI/SAILOR MINI MOON - Your voice scared me, to be honest. I couldn't understand 50% of what you said. It's cutsy and stuff, just not Rini cutsy.

DARIEN/TUXEDO MASK - ...And I thought Rini's voice was scary. The moment Darien spoke, I was like OMG THE NEGAMONSTER...oh wait, that's Darien. o.o

BONONNE - I didn't like this voice too much. Maybe it's because I'm partial to the monster of the days. She just didn't sound very evil, and it's like she spoke in whispers the whole time. And her death scream sounded really dull like "ah i'm dying oh no". n.n Be more evil, miss thang!

OTHER CHARACTERS - The other characters were minor, but I have to do SOMETHING with them, don't I? Mercurious was pretty good, though I remember him being scary-deep like Darien. Molly was really cute, I liked her voice for it a lot. Melvin, too, although I like my Melvin more just because it's me. :D

All in all, the quality sucks, the music is great, the sound effects are not too shabby, the voices are all varying by my tastes, and that's all that needs to be said. You did a good job doing the entire episode. <3

I basically agree with everything Akerin said. Kara's voice, with the accent, kinda weirded me out at first, but as the clip went on, I really liked it. I think the scene Akerin is talking about that lacked emotion was when Mina pulled down her shirt to reveal her shoulder. The acting was rather non-existant in this scene. Or actually, it was there, but waaaay way way toned-down. I also was disappointed with Aleema's villainess performance. I sort of imagined Bononne with a Jessie(ala Pokemon)-type voice. You know the villainesses I'm talking about... Loud, flamboyant, melodramatic... you just sounded like a 13-year-old attempting to be evil but not wanting to wake up her parents in the other room. Whatever you did to Rini's lines shouldn't have been done... I would rather hear a deep Rini than a warped robotic one. And Darien did sound evil. XD What's up with that? I really liked the narrator's voice... She didn't really sound like Luna to me, but still a pleasant voice and a good performance. :)
