My Day is Made ^.^
Now that it's getting back into the school year,
What books are you guys going to be reading in your literature classes?
Unfortunately I'm not in one, but My sister will have to read "Of Mice and Men" (which I hate) and "The Miracle Worker" (Which I love)
You?

We had to read "My Antonia" (AVOID IT WITH YOUR LIFE AND SOUL) and "The Crucible" (which is actually a good play). But I hate analyzing things WHILE reading them, so that usually ruins assigned reading for me.
On a side note, we've been reading a lot of essays, and I mean a LOT.

Am I the only one who's ever had to read Mark Twain's "The Awful German Language" for school?
...probably.
But it's a BRILLIANT essay. Y'all should try it, you'll die laughing.

hee! XD I normally took the assigned book home, read the whole book in one night and then spent the rest of the class being hopelessly annoyed by the rest of the kids plodding along at the chapter-a-night pace assigned by the teacher.
I also had this AWESOME AWESOME english teacher in the either grade who taught us how to rip literature apart while we were reading it and still keep the reading pleasurable. XD He made it like solving a mystery. You pick up clues and hints as to what the author is trying to say... even subliminally, and by the time you get to the climax of the story... it all makes sense ^.^
He was awesome. He used to proofread my college papers too. <3
