Versace Meets Anime?

That got your attention didn't it? Actually, the likely hood of the famous fashion designer Versace looking to anime for inspiration probably isn't too likely buuuut I just saw this design (left picture of course) from a Winter show in Milan in the New York Times that looks similar to Vash's coat:

The other interesting thing is that the NYT had this to say about Versace's designs "Versace’s men’s wear business resulted in a collection that not only looked East for design cues but also seemed to take seriously the idea that the future may be chilling in all kinds of ways."

Huh. That IS a rather uncanny resemblance. I guess the most striking thing is the panel of buttons going down the iddle, but I've seen that on many old coats before as well.. I guess on this coat, the collar matches Vash's more to lend towards it more.

Good catch though, I probably would've just dismissed it right off the bat before even realizing the resemblance.

I saw a horrible poncho-esque coat at a catwalk show from Versace for the new men's line.

their faces are pretty similar

Yeah I think so too. If the model died his hair blonde and had it stand straight up he would look more like vash because they both have long faces.
