William Sledd is a fashion GOD. Oh my gosh. I watch his videos all the freakin time.

Here are a few of my favorites.

You can email him for fashion advise, etc.

Pretty much is my favorite youtube celeb. =D

Has anyone else heard about him? And what do you think of some of his fashion advice?

I would not call him a fasion god at ALL, fasion guru...maybe. He knows how to match, but his style isn't very original. He is very trendy, and doesn't try to be different so I find that, that makes him kind of boring.

Otherwise his show is very enjoyable, and really...alot of people need to learn how to match....to many horror stories.

Hmmm.
If a woman really feels the need to ask someone what clothes her body looks best in, wouldn't she be better off asking a straight man or a lesbian?

If they want the most skin shown, then yeah ;P

Some people have a sense of style, some don't. AAGM mini-shows defenetly have some style XD

I'm sorry, but, gay people are ALOT more stylish than most straight people. e_e; Some gay people. I can say a couple at my school are.

His fashion tips are awesome. Exspecially the muffin tops and skinny jeans things.

I know this has nothing to do with this topic, but I find it the height of amusement that some people still hold onto the stereotype that if a guy is gay, then he automatically knows fashion. That's not necessarily true. I know a couple of gay guys who dress just as slobbish as any other straight guy would. And I know a straight guy who can even make a BUM presentable. (Well, that's a BIT of a stretch, but you get the idea.) This just shows to go you how some people just can't deal without stereotyping in their lives, and I just find that funny. Not that I'm pointing any fingers, don't get me wrong. I'm just SAYIN'. :P

That bein' said, William Sledd is...amusing. XD And his fashion tips are indeed sound.

Well yes, I don't meet many fashionable bulls. But then they tend to be all about the bulge. Which (to be fair) is fair play. Everyone's got to have their thing, for some it's the look for others it's the peck deck. As long as people are passionate about their particular thing that passion will usually come across.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Seriously, where do you live? Because, you see, I live in the middle of the largest gay neighborhood in the midwest. Every time I leave my house, its like one giant flashing pink billboard of gay.

Now, its cute and all that you have a couple of "queer" kids at your school (until graduation, amirite?) that shop at Ambercrappy and Fitch but that is absolutely no standard to put the rest of the gays in the world up to. Until you have walked down North Haltsead in Chicago at 2 in the morning and have seen some twink in terrible drag being lead by a bear in full on leather (complete with assless chaps), you have not truly seen the gay community.

Believe me when I say that not all gay men are fashion savvy bitches that popped out of a couture shoot in Italian sweaters and tailored pants, snapping their fingers and shaking their head with pursed lips.

(Also, its safe to say that a lot of gay men are going to be offended at you for this kind of stereotyping.)

In conclusion, I'm a lesbian and today I am maxing and relaxing in a faded black teeshirt with some kind of dragon on the back and a pair of green trousers with random bleach stains on them. THIS IS NOT THE DEFINITION OF STYLING, MY FRIEND.

Take it from a gay person: just because we screw differently doesn't mean that our brains are chemically altered to be better at putting together an outfit.

Rather than the gay being more stylish, I think it's more like many fashionists are or become gay; that would be more logical.

Pffft. Full. I'm Gay...well...HALF-fag...and I have NO sense of style at ALL. I just wear what I like, which usually runs toward poetshirts and leather pants. XP

I think I would agree with Yukie's line of reasoning a bit more, even if it IS still generalizing a bit.

Danae...I love you. XD Like, seriously. You just kick ass girl. Hell, I used to live in West Hollywood, so I know what you're talkin' about and all. Still. You rock your ASS off in that faded t-shirt and bleach-stained trousers.

Assless leather chaps...:giggles: And yes... I HAVE seen twinks in REALLY BAD DRAG... >_>;;

BD:Rental number 4!
RN4: Yes sir!
BD: Get out my screaming puce ball gown then load up the make up cannon with 3 foot fake eye lashes and 20 pints of rouge! I'm looking for a cheeky chappie and as such I'll be out on the tiles toooonite!
RN4: Certainly sir!

Orientation, class, gender aside. Bad is bad. That said I have seen some wonderfully stylish female trannies recently.

One small point. I refuse to take fashion advice from a man in a 80's BBC twee sit-com tank top. He looks like Elvira in a potting shed spiking out her veg. It's a sad sad thing to see a gay man in desparate need of a beasting, they get waspish and so so emotionally ugly.

Visit his forum? I think I'll pass.It would end, badly.

Amen to that. I too am ... well, half, and I can't even colour coordinate. I just wear what I feel like wearing and not give half a rat's ass what's "fashionable." (Of course, I don't dress like I walked right out of some random show on the TV Land network, but usually it's just a button-up shirt and jeans, khakis or dark pants.)

Kinda figured you were bi, Shin-kun. I dunno, just got that vibe, I guess. But anyway, I can SO imagine you in some blazing day-glo travesty for some reason, Shin-kun. XD

Me, I'm currently in my old pj pants with the hole in the crotch and a holey t-shirt. How's THAT for bein' gay and fashionable? >D

Fashion is an abstract concept - ephemeral and transient. Immaterial even as it tries to define and catalogue the material. Fashion is as fashion does.

Having said that, I can't get those damn Old Navy sweater commercials out of my head. The Fair Isle collection is adorable and I will be buying many sweaters this afternoon when I go into the city.

Yey!

In the tradition of Chris Crocker, I implore youtube fanatics to NOT believe in everything they watch. William's hair is tragic, and dude, if you stumble across this because you googled your own name, roasting yourself to a golden brown in the tanning salon does not automatically make you a jock.

I have seen the 'gayborhoods' (ENOUGH times) that I know better than to take fashion advice from the walking pride parades. Trust me, it is not an instinct. I'm NOT saying gay guys DON'T have fashion sense, either.

Just stop asking for tips from fans of Britney already. I mean, Christ, the bitch is all saggy and coked-out over a couple of babies and her head's shaved. Do you really want to go around looking like that hot mess?

No, if you want to ask a gay man some fashion tips, look no further.

Ah, leather trousers, difficult to clean. They can get very "medieval" if not taken proper care of. Bad hummy.

The fact that he's from Kentucky makes his fashion sense questionable in the first place.

Gay or not, if you don't live within 50 miles of a major metropolis, the odds are against you :P

Are you kidding? I wouldn't call him the fashion god...I have more style on my fist then he has on his whole body.

now I don't want to go into a whole debate again over his fashion sense...anyway that t-vest he is wearing in the video the first one... -_-' eww its 2008 not 1708!

not to be rude or anything. :sweat

Sorry--I really don't think anyone should be taking advice from a stereotypical abercrombie loser. The outfits there make themselves; they're unoriginal and boring, designed to make rich kids look smart while wearing cheap fabric.

I'm good, kthx~ :O
