When you are registering for this board, you receive this little note by the "prove you're not an effin' spambot" code:

If you are visually impaired or cannot otherwise read this code please contact the Administrator for help.

Here's the question: if I'm visually impaired, how in the blue fuck am I supposed to know to contact the administrator (or, for that matter, how to)?

That's because being visually impaired can mean a number of things, ranging from deteriorating eyesight to actual blindness

You know there are browsers for the visually impaired that will dictate webpage contents, right?

I would not want to be the person who unleashed THAT monster.

Well, the porn would be more realistic.

It would be easier to get off that's for sure.

Check out the bralle on that bimbo.

Check out the bralle on that bimbo.Actually, I was referring to the contents of a pornsite being read aloud.

They wouldn't need porn sites. That is a bit too softcore compared to having some of the harry potter slash fanfics read aloud.

*shudders*

What, like the one I recorded about Draco paddling Harry whilst the latter was in a schoolgirl's outfit?

...I mean...uh...shit. >_<

When I was in highschool I had a friend who lost her sight during a really bad ear infection. She knew the postition of her fingers on the keyboard and she had a program which read pages aloud. *nod* We've fallen out of touch, but it would be quite possible for her to post on messageboards such as this.

Kragey - you're crazy - oop, sorry, that's not what you meant!

Seriously though, I've thought similar about that message too when I've seen it. I know what I think they mean, but yeah, it's just one of those weird phrases you get. "Speak Inglish boryih!" <-- my accent needs a bit of work!

When I get serious migraines, I can't see (usually I lose sight in my right eye, sometimes both). It's a weird and frightening thing and even if I get a mild migraine I often can't read anything, or see things properly, (even with my glasses on) which is a bit annoying as I like reading, have to miss out going online and most of all I rely on my eyes for my job! So I can quite sympathise with those who are visually impaired.
