View Full Version : [FANBASED] DIGIMON 01: September 2001: Mimi Tachikawa- VIDEO MAIL
After releasing her Crest to help the Sovereign Digimon, Mimi and her Family move to New York City. However, her happy times are cut short when a tragedy hits her new Home City.
WARNING: The following incorporates Digimon into a REAL LIFE tragedy. I didn't write this, I just mixed it with a translated script. It is an actual CD drama and if you have a problem with it, don't listen and complain to Bandai!. Not Me in this thread.
I wanted to release this before I leave to Toronto because I may not have mixing software, otherwise I would have waited to release it.

Hmm... man, those memories... Didn't really like re-living them =/
But anyways, mixing was clean and smooth, and Mippa pulled off an awesome Mimi. Heh heh, I was a little confused as to what was going on the first two minutes; I thought totem poles were going to be the main problem of the story :sweat Overall, great job guys!
Oh and RIP 9/11 Victims :)

Thank you for the kind words, Rina-san! I suppose this is my official debut here on VAA, isn't it? ^^; I have yet to listen to it, but I will give my feedback as soon as I do...(boo work. T.T)

It started off so happy and then it got so sad ;_;!
Such is the nature of life :( Thanks for listening Chinomi!
The writer, Onkei-kun has given the seal of approval :D

I listened to this yesterday. Mip gave a very touching and heartfelt performance to a very well written script.
Great job everyone (:
Thank you so much for taking the time to listen Erica, I really appreciate it!

Very well done! Mippa was excellent as Mimi, and it was well-mixed and a very well-written script as well. It was very touching.

I already said this in digilife, but I absolutely loved it. The writing, the acting, the mixing, everything was perfect.
The only qualm that I did have was that Mippa kept pausing at really strange points in time. It took away a little bit of the fluidity, but wasn't too bad.
That would be my fault, I spaced them out because I was going to add sfx...but unfortunately, I'm kinda out of sfx at this point.
I think I'll remix it once I get more sfx.

Wow. Mippa, I really like your Mimi voice! I could say at some parts you sounded a little too mature for her...but, I think I'm just trying to find things to say about it... (heh.)
After the big explosion SFX, I noticed that Mippa's lines started sounded really robotic from too much noise removal (?). It really bothered me.
Otherwise, this was really well done! The mixing and acting were great. Can't wait to see the other audio dramas!

Actually I have to agree. At certain points I think my voice went back to it's "adult Mimi" voice and I would have liked to have re-done those...
BUMP!
More love for Mimippa (D: Whut?)

You spoil me silly, Kei--er...I cannot mix your names, I don't think. T.T Kellace? Walkei? Nah...
At work one day I wrote Wallace on my Name Tag so everyone called me Wallace, it was funny.

One order of more Mippa love coming right up!
Digimon was my first and dearest anime love, so this was quite a nostalgia trip to listen to. I'm terrible at VA critique, but I think the acting in the first half was...hmm. It was good, though it didn't draw me in as much as I think Mippa was capable of. Second half was spot-on where it needed to be; I think that the seriousness of the tone did cause Mippa, as she said, to revert back to 'adult-Mimi' voice for a bit. Still fantastic, though! And really a great concept to produce. Kudos to you all.
