Mafia 44: Who Wants to be a Superhero?

This is a custom mafia, taking place in Citytropolisville, a town that is overflowing with Superheros defending the weak and the innocent as well as a fair share of Supervillains plotting to take over the world. First Citytropolisville and then... THE WORLD!

Now, you can't be just any random thing you want. No, you get to be your own CUSTOM superhero or supervillian! However, no existing ones please. ONLY original ones. If someone PMs me a "I wanna be Spiderman!" you are OUT. Hahaha, no I'm really serious. There will be 15 player. Some will be heroes, some will be villains, and some will be... other.

PM me your original super name and a BRIEF description of what you are all about. You can give a general idea of what your powers might be (fly, telekinetic, talks to fish, whatever) but I alone will tell you what your IN GAME power will be based off that.

But for those that are lazy and/or not in the mood for clicking that link...
- No talking about the game outside the topic UNLESS told to in your role description.
- Votes and unvotes must be in bold as Vote: Player or they don't count.
- Don't edit posts. Period. Edit a post and you will be mod-killed. Though this is not a problem anymore since the edit buttons have been taken away all together... I’m still leaving it in cus there might be players that still have edit abilities.
- Once the hammer drops... try to limit your postings until the night is over.
- DO NOT TELL PEOPLE YOUR ROLE, YOUR POWERS, OR ROLE/POWER CLAIM!! I cannot stress this rule enough! I hold the right to make judgement if you are dancing to close to the role claiming line. If you do, you WILL be mod killed! I don't give warnings! You can give SMALL hints toward your power... a soft-claim if you will, but use your own discretion on the matter. An example of a good soft claim would be something along the lines of "I can't say what my power is, but know that I can get some useful information for us tonight."
- Though it is hard to hint at roles since this is a custom mafia, still please don't try and give out clues to what your is role by acting by IN character or role playing heavily. If you are "Chickenman" don't make references to eggs and hens all the time. If you want to role play, go to a role play board... this is mafia.
- Do not directly quote any PM that I send you. That will also result in a mod-kill.
- Excessive in activity will result in a mod kill. If you sign up and that is the last time we ever hear from you or you disappear for a long period of time you will be replaced with an alternete.

There were people that have talked to me and asked to be pre-registered. - of the 15 slots are already filled. We will also accept 3 alternates to fill in inactive players. Should an alternate need to be used, they will adopt the custom character of the player that has been ejected from the game.

What a beautiful day in Citytropolisville! The sky is clear, the grass is green, the birds are singing… but like every day in Citytropolisville evil and danger lurks around every corner, in every shadow, and in down every ally.

A number of villains have infiltrated the League of Heroes and are some where among their ranks. Heroes, you must uncover and eliminate these evil doers quickly before they get you. If you don’t stop them, no one will be able to, and they will take over the town!

First Citytropolisville… then… THE WORLD!

DAY ONE has begun

With 15 still alive, it takes 8 to lynch.
If majority is not reached before 3:30 A.M. EST the hammer will auto drop



BUT WAIT! One last thing before the game starts!
We have one final thing to go over... THE LYNCH TWIST.

If you are the player in the lead to being lynched, you have the option to take someone to the gallows WITH you!

The twist goes a little something like this:
-If you are the player that has the most votes against them, you may vote for yourself. Upon doing this, the hammer will automatically be dropped. You shall be lynched as well as whomever holds the second most votes.
-If you are the only player that has votes against them, you can vote for yourself as well. Upon doing this, the hammer will automatically be dropped. You shall be lynched as well as a RANDOMLY chosen player that voted for you.
-The lynch twist rule can only be used 30 minutes before the end of a day OR when the vote is three away from a hammer drop. (As the game gets smaller, those numbers may be changed to accommodate smaller majorities and shorter days)

If there are no votes simply because no one wants to risk it... a random player will be killed and for every day that there is no one that votes one the table, one more additional player will be killed. So after two days, two random people die. Three days... three and so on.

That should be enough motivation to get you people voting.

With the morning sun comes a new day for all the towns people of Citytropolisville. Well, not all it seems. After a head count in the town square, the townspeople discover that a few familiar faces are missing.

The first stop is to Ydocnameloc's house. Going inside, the find no signs of foul play. Well, except that Cody has been turned into a sheep! However, besides his new physical form, he appears to be fine. Hopefully it's only temporary.

The next stop is to AlwaysRina's house. The group find her... alive yes, but her legs are covered in burns. She's going to need some time to recover from the attack.

AlwaysRina has been injured and may not vote today!

The final stop is to Kei's house. Sadly it seems that the town is two late this time. They find Kei's lifeless body on the floor in front of his sofa, covered head to two in blood and was seems to be... fungi? Odd.

Kei, the forever youthful GREAT GEEZER and member of the LEAGUE OF HEROES, has been KILLED!


DAY TWO have now begun!

So yeah I'm here all morning, but in the afternoon my mum's taking me shopping to get all my school stuff (the holiday's nearly over and I've hardly got anythingXD) and then in the evening my boyfriend's taking me to go see....TRANSFORMERS - ROBOTS IN DISGUISE! The townspeople try to pull Shika from Leiko's grasp, and even Shika tries to save herself, trying to plant a kiss on Leiko's cheek, but before the worst can be stopped... it happens. Leiko clicks on the lighter and the flame suddenly bursts forth, engulfing the two. "FIRE! FIRE!" She screams!

The town watches in horror as the two parish in a great ball of Leiko's flames.

Yay! The sun rises on another day in Citytropolisville, but as the town gathers for the morning head count again, they find that again some people are missing.

The first stop this time is to Rikka's house, but before they even get inside the know something is wrong, for the sounds of a chicken going out of control can be heard inside. Opening the door, you find that the chicken is in fact Rikka! Oh no! Another towns person turned into a member of the animal kingdom! Hopefully she'll make it longer then Cody did.

Rikka joins you as you all as you run to CKMel's house. You knock on the door but no one answers. Letting yourselves in it doesn't seem she is home, that is until you go to the bedroom and find a TERRIBLE sight! There is CKMel's completely incinerated, ashy remains, still laying in the bed. There is not much left, but it looks like she gave her attacker a bit of a struggle.

CKMel, the girl with the magic pencils known as PENCIL GIRL and member of the LEAGUE OF HEROES, has been Killed!

The final stop of the morning is to Kyoshiro-kun's place. You don't even need to go inside to find him. He is laying in the doorway to his house with a giant gapping hole in him that was powerful enough to blast a matching whole right though the front door. It appears he was going back into his house when he was attacked from behind. Going inside to see it you can find any clues to who might have done this, you find that Kyo's house doesn't look that that of a hero. The house is draped in darkness, and a rather telling coffee table book sitting on the table "How to Take Over the World on Your Own in 10 Easy Steps."

Kyoshiro-Kun, the master of darkness DARK KNIGHT and SUPER VILLAIN, has been Killed!

After cracking the code of the meaning of Matt's name the town all decided that someone with such a name could never be one of them! He has to go!

They all grab a hold of him as he tries to save face, "Wait! Wait! I can explain!" the town for once actually give him a moment to try and explain himself. "I admit it. I killed-" he starts.

"That's enough for us!" calls out AlwaysRina as the town grab him again, not letting him finish.

"BUT I WAS DOING YOU A FAVOR!" he tries to cry out over the noise and confusion. It's no good though. The town hang him high at the gallows.

Upon searching his pockets the discover some strange items. Items like none of them had ever seen before and wouldn't see until the 32nd century.

Matt Cruea, the glory-hungry janitor from the future masquerading as a hero of today APOTHEOSIS, VIGILANTE, and TOWN... has been Killed!

The sun rises on Day four and the town once again assembles. "Head count!" Yells out Nikki Wright as she starts counting. "4...5...6...... Oh no! Rikka!" Indeed, Rikka was missing! The town rush to Rikka's house.

What a crime scene!

The first thing they notice it that it seems that the front walk way is covered in the remains of ice with had only started to melt with the morning sunrise. Watching their step as the entered the house, Ydocnameloc screamed like a little girl at the sight inside! For there was Rikka... dead in a pool of blood on the floor! Her body surrounded by the bloody bodies of her precious pink bunny army! Oh the humanity! So much blood! So much pink fluff!

Rikka; the fighter for all things cute, cuddly, and pink WOMAN LADY GIRL and member of the LEAGUE OF HEROES; has been Killed!

The townspeople all look at one another and knew now. It was over. Their were only 6 of them left. The mafia was half of them now... but who? They all exchange glances for a moment before suddenly, the mafia strikes!

Chinomi quickly reaches out her hand in the direction of Kai-chan, AlwaysRina, and EmbersGlow and the three are instantly transformed into ducks! "Now Nikki! Freeze them!" yells Chinomi.

"I can't kill duckies!" She yells back angry.

"Oh fine!" says Chinomi, changing the three instead into goats. In the next moment, Nikki uses her ice powers to freeze them all solid. Ydoc finishes the job as he pulls one of the mushrooms for off his head and uses the strong fungi to smash the hero-popsicles into a million pieces!

OR
- You may use your powers to read the mind of any other player in the game, trying to reveal their role and their power. Use this power and there is a 75% chance of uncovering one of them. A 50% chance of uncovering both. But also a 25% chance you won't be able to uncover anything at all.

You are a member of the LEAGUE OF VILLAINS! You are MAFIA along with your fellow villains Chinomi and Margo. You may all plot together outside the topic. You win the game when the League of Villains makes up 50% of the town population.

Since the secret of your origins could ruin your career as a superhero, you are not one for working on a team. That is why you are a VIGILANTE! You are fighting for the good guys, but you won't fight WITH them. You win the game the same way that other heroes do, when all evil has been defeated.

What's the difference between you and the other heroes then? Well, you are the only good guy who has a 100% chance of killing in the night. You may pick any one player and as long as they have no shield of defense up, they WILL die. Be careful though, you don't want to take out other good guys! You better be really sure they are evil!

Since you may not feel safe using this power every night, you can choice to instead use your knowledge from the future. At the end of every night you don't use your killing power, you will receive a list of causalities before the morning post goes up. If you choice to, you may save one person from death, that is if you feel like thinking of others before yourself.

The real benefit of this power is that you never have to leave your house so you can never be caught spying by other players. Only the image will be.

Well those mushrooms are super strong and work as a shield! Plus they are super big and two of you can fit under them! Each night you may protect yourself as well as one other player. The mushroom shield will absorb one random incoming night action between the two of you. However, the shield is only strong enough to absorb one action a night. All others will make direct hits.

You are a member of the LEAGUE OF VILLAINS! You are MAFIA along with your fellow villains Nikki Wright and Chinomi. You may all plot together outside the topic. You win the game when the League of Villains makes up 50% of the town population.

Every night, the League of Villains may kill ONE other player. You must decide amongst yourselves who to kill and which one of you will be the one to do the deed. That player forfeits their normal night action to perform the killing while the other two may still use their own night actions.

Each night you may go to a players house. Through an open window you may float one of that players personal items to you. Each item contains a piece of information on that player. Either their role, their power, or their alignment. This information is contained in either a laptop, a file from the filing cabinet, or a personal diary. Which item holds what info is random for each player.

-AlwaysRina uses her drumsticks and gives Kyoshiro-kun a headache.
-Leiko sets AlwaysRina on fire, prevents her from voting on Day Two.
-Chinomi turns Cody into a Sheep.
-Margo kills Kei on behave of the Mafia.
-Nikki Wright investigats Rikka and discovered her role and her power.

DAY TWO...
-Cody is mod-killed for breaking his post restriction rules.
-Kai guesses that Shika is her partner, wrong.
-Embersglow guesses that Chinomi is partner, wrong.
-Leiko actives Lynch Twist, killing self.
-Shika Megumi is killed in the lynch twist.
-Embersglow gains her powers since her partner, Leiko, dies.

NIGHT TWO...
-Nikki investigates Matt and discovers his role is APOTHEOSIS
-Chinomi turns Rikka into a Chicken
-Margo tries to kill AlwaysRina for the mafia but it fails
-Embersglow uses mind on Nikki Wright and finds out that her powers are to prevent a player from performing night actions and that she can read minds to find out roles or powers.
-Rikka sends bunny squad to AlwaysRina's house, saves Rina from mafia
-CKMel draws a puppy with wings and a dragon tail and discovers that Margo is MUSHROOM MAN.
-Kyoshiro-kun uses Ultimate Darkness on CKMel killing her
-Matt kills Kyoshiro-Kun

DAY THREE...
-Matt Cruea lynched

NIGHT THREE...
-Kai-chan guesses her hero is EmbersGlow, wrong
-Embersglow flies to Rikka's house and sees Nikki ice the walk, Rikka's bunnies fail, and Chinomi kill Rikka
-Rikka tries to have rabbits protect her own house, bunnies fail due to ice
-AlwaysRina protects self it Cymbal of Truth
-Ydocnamloc protects himself and EmbersGlow
-Nikki ices Rikka's walkway
-Chinomi kills Rikka on behalf of the mafia

DAY FOUR...
-Mafia finishes off the remaining town

-Mafia MVP- Hmm, everyone in the mafia played this game so well. It's hard to give it to just one. They worked well together. I think though it's gotta go to Nikki for getting everyone to turn against Matt based solely on his heroes name which she had uncovered. That was pretty good!
-Town MVP- I have to give it to Matt since he was the only one to actually take out a bad guy in some way shape or from and on a total shoot in the dark as well. Bravo.
-Town Honorable Mention- Ydoc for finding a way to talk in code without breaking his post restrictions, even though he messed up with a typo. That was a total shame and a mistake.
-Town LVP- EVERYONE BUT MATT! You guy let everyone die!
-Best Hero/Power- Chinomi! That power was fucking awesome and when I got the PM that said "turns people into animals" I just knew I would have fun with the post restrictions on that one!
