Not bad! The writing was tight, the presentation was clear, the music well chosen and it had a good balance between a serious tone and the air of a fairytale fantasy story. Your voice really suited the production, and when it finished I found myself wanted to hear more. (Which I suppose is the biggest compliment I can give you! :) )
Keep on producing!

You mean Solstice's voice :) Actually her vocal tone is so similar to mine (aside from the fact she is actually British) so I think she was perfect as the story is based off a dream I had where I was the character Lia. I've actually had family members (and fiance) mistake her for me while listening. Thank you so much. I'm working on getting all the lines for Chapter II from the main characters as the minor characters have for the most parts gotten their lines in. I am really excited for how it's shaping up.

What happened to this cast... Did they die in a plane crash?
Ohh, the pressure! So little happening, and yet so gripping. Excellent volume levels, and voices.
I recognize my brother Patrick anywhere, hehheh.
Only thing I noticed was the Gorlags sounded like they repeated sometimes. It was only noticeable once.
I want a live-action movie! I demand it now----:cry
Or maybe a cg movie, like the Final Fantasy ones.
Oh, and I listened to your audio commentary my dear. Very enlightening. I've wanted to do the same for my works in the past. We're on a simliar wavelength. Keep it up!
P.S. Maid Marian carries a sword, and she likes wearing armor under a dress.... It's trendy.

that's because it does repeat..LOL I have to write more up for emcgo to say. I would love for it to become a movie :) I obviously have more description in the actual novel but I think the world easily comes to life.
The next chapters are definitely going to be interesting...it picks up in Chapter 8..there is a bit of romantic tension ;)

Aye aye, had enough time to listen to the chapter in the last 4 days. I have to say brilliant! It might be a little slow for some people, but if you like these kind of radioplays it's one heck of a play.
The mixing is very good. Great volumes, sound effects etc. The birds and music in the background are noticable ... but not so much that they draw the attention away from the voices. The only thing missing is perhaps more obvious soundeffects. I noticed that a lot of the soundeffects are hidden in the background, like the people in the town and the laughing men at the bar. But these blend in a little too much in my opinion, hence the "more obvious soundeffects" critique but that is perhaps a matter of taste :)
LIA - Sophie Neveu
I really like the accent and voice. The way you narrate is great and I can follow everything you say, even if it's a large amount of lines in one go. The only thing I can critique is that sometimes it's hard to hear the difference between the narrating "voice" and the acting "voice.
ROWAN - PhaeThorn
Hmmyeah what can I say. I can speed up my lines to a really fast speed ... because naturally I speak quite fast. So every now and then I hear myself speed up ... and I always do try to slow it down but it doesn't always work. Other then that I didn't like my "I'm 22, how old are you?" line because I felt I misinterpreted that situation ... so in the final mix it doesn't really sound like a proper reaction to lia.
SIEGFRIED - JauntyHat
I'm impressed by the way you act. It seems so natural and the reaction is always fitting. Great job! I'm waiting on a chapter where you have more lines because you deserve it!
GORLAG 2 - R. Douglas Barbieri
Youtch, please ... don't kill your vocal cords by doing that voice! If you can get away with it without straining them like hell ... then please continue. Because the voice is great for a gorlag!
GORLAG 1 - Moose
Nice nice, I like the accent you gave him! It did make it a little hard to understand the part "has her in the dungeon" but that might be just me. If you're doing more Gorlags in the other chapters I'd love to hear the same voice, accent and acting :D

This is a fine production, I really like it. Chapter 8 was long and challenging but turned out great! Siegfried is full of personality, as always, whilst rival Rowan's voice is different but attractive. Yes Rowan could have slowed down a little - I know it's hard to pace oneself on those long paragraphs. (I will try to differentiate the voices more, good point). Gorlags voices were well done. Enjoyed beginning sound effects, horse etc.:)

My very own mix between Dutch, school English, slang english and american. Mixed together and created my own 'phaelic english'. I'm not trying to cover it up or anything in this production ... it's part of the character ;)

I thought it was a bit too empty there seeing as she's crying heavily...makes it more believable. It's not really Sophie crying but I did some pitch editing on some stock I found to make it sound like it could be her.

The narrator part was a little jarring, though....things were rather awkwardly said, more like an announcer than a narrator voice. ^^; Otherwise, I think everyone did a great job with their lines. And the punching sound effects were sweeet.

Well I did the old radio sound effect on the narrator because I wanted the listener to feel like he wasn't actually there (cause he isn't). Lia is there when she is narrating, since she is speaking first person.

New castmembers:
Chapter 13:
KRATAH - Ashlyn Barbieri
Haha, lovely! I liked it a lot Ashlyn, you obviously sounded like a girl (duh, you ARE one) but not really a human girl. The way of speaking and the accent made it a believable Gorlag girl. :D I bet you had fun doing those lines and you can hear that in your voice! Keep it up :)
MISTRESS - Laura Fedora
An unpleasant voice, which is good for a Gorlag. You spoke pretty slow, with a crack in your voice and had a special way to pronounce some words. Every now and then you lost that slowness for a split second and your normal voice shined through. After that split second it goes back to the gorlag voice again though. For example, this was specially noticable in the line "Keep it up, dinner has to be ready for...". You had less crack in your voice and it was faster then all the other lines. I realise this is due to the emotion, but still that line stood out :)
KOORK - Laura Fedors
And here you are again with a normal voice, faster and a different accent. The very first "Mistress?" could have been a bit faster so that the difference between Koork and Mistress's name would be more obvious. Infact, perhaps an overal faster pase in the lines would help to make it different from eachother, but other than you did a great job. When you commanded Lia you had the right emotion and you do not sound like a pleasant woman (personallity wise) by the way you speak. Great job on both the characters Laura! :D
Chapter 14:
TAYLA- Mippa
Aah, you made a comment that you didn't like your accent, but I personally loved it. The acting was spot on in my opinion and you had the right emotion constantly. I can only praise you, dear Mippa ... sowwy ;)
EMTEH- Mary Bruhand (Tinker Jet)
So far, a oneliner for you Emteh so there isn't much to comment on. But what I heard was nice. The voice suited nicely in my opinion and there was also a little stubbornness hearable. Which is good, as that is how Emteh is presented at the moment. I wonder if the character needs a bit more of that stubbornness, but that's only nitpicking. I know from previews that you've done a great job in the following episodes, so I can't wait to hear more from you! :)
Chapter 15:
ARAS, NARRATOR - R. Douglas Barbieri
Wheee, I finally got to hear your narration! I was wondering how you would perform when I read that you were going to do the narrating bits when Lia wasn't there to narrate it. And I must say, you didn't let me down at all! Not that I was think you would let me down ... but ... aaah you know what I mean. Anyways, I liked your narration and also simply just your voice. There was indeed a part of the narration where I thought to myself ... "pleeaaaseee breath! You'll die if you don't!" because there was so little pause between the lines. But apart from that I didn't mind the specific way you narrated. You have a special style I guess which you got to like or not.
As for arras, I can say that I love your voice, your emotion and that you need to keep acting him as you did so far! There isn't much to say otherwise :)
RENOLD - Blackened88
Renold ... I'm sorry but you just don't sound like a strong guy hahaha. But that's alright, a group of men need sneaky, agile men too ;). The quality of the lines was noticably less than the other voice, which is too bad, but that doesn't take away your performance of course. You sounded sincerely concerned for Lia, good job!
Old castmembers:
LIA - Sophie Neveu
Sophie! You got a gigantic role when you got casted as lia and you carried the role perfectly. You have such a big part and you didn't fail once. You remain constant in your acting, apart from a few feedback points you recieved in the past. Those points you improved on and you actually kept those improvements in your acting! One thing that I notice the most, is that you changed the "narrating voice" and the "acting voice". Something changed so that it's more clear that you are narrating and that you are actually speaking to someone in the world of Lady from Day. Whatever it is, keep doing it!
SIEGFRIED - JauntyHat
Whehe, you continue to be the funniest man on the show. I love your presentation of Sig! I'm glad that you got a bigger role in the story for the upcoming episodes. There isn't much to comment on really, I think there isn't anything you can do to improve your performance ... apart from buying a 1000 dollar microphone so your acting will be heard even better ;)
ROWAN - PhaeThorn
Yeah, giving yourself feedback isn't really ... yeah ... so I'll just keep it short .. I hope. I love the role as Rowan as I could transform the role into my own thing. I didn't get any direction on how Rowan should be like, I had to find that out from the script. I decided I wanted to be a "laid back" prince that jokes around and is a bit animated. He can be serious when it comes down to it though. The story tells that Rowan doesn't really want to be a prince at all ... yet enjoys the luxery when he can. This fits the character I think. Anyways, once again ... thanks April!!!! for giving the role and freedom to form the character :)
Aibrean / April:
Mixing
The mixing remains constant, meaning you always have good music and the story just flows very well. You have improved in using sound effects, I hear those more and more often. You do a great job of cleaning up the voice files too. Some lines have cracking and / or buzzing/noise in the background. Almost all of the lines in the finished episodes sound clean and without background noise. Great job on that! Also the volumes of the music, effects and voice are always in good balance.
Whenever you hear a small part of the radiplay it's always very recognizable to me too. Now that may be because I'm so close to it, but I think it has more to do with you having a specific signature when it comes to this radioplay. Something about it is different than all the other plays I have heard. But that is also because of the story I guess, which bring me to ...
Story
The story is in my opinion very nice and light. You can listen to it at any time and still enjoy it, no matter what mood you're in. Of course you DO need to have the interest in the style of this radioplay, meaning quite a lot of narrating and long lines instead of quick and long dialogs, but when that's your thing ... it's perfect. You had to transform the story from a book-form to a radioplay script and I think you did a great job of it. The characters are always themselves and don't lose themselves when the story continues. This proves to me that the story in bookform was good and constant too. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the story as it continues. I do not read the episodes I'm not in or even the parts of the script I do not appear in (and are not important for my performance). I do this because I want to be surprised with the full story when the episodes come out.

Great thoughts Phae :) btw...on this comment:
"Renold ... I'm sorry but you just don't sound like a strong guy hahaha. "
He actually is SUPPOSED to sound that way. The character is very timid and sounds a bit nervous all the time but he has a very good heart (made more evident in the next book).

Aw-right! Since chapter 21 in out and there won't be anymore episodes for a while, I might as well critique what I heard.
Voice Actors:
Cerhiunnhn - DASCHL - You have a very modest sounding princess. I really liked your take and your acting was done well. But sometimes you seemed to slur slightly. Be sure to be clear when you speak. =P I realize your princess character wasn't taught to be articulate but... hey. Go for it.
Moose - FRIAR ALBERT,GORLAG 1 - Very befitting, Moose. XD Very befitting.
R. Douglas Barbieri - ARAS, INNKEEPER (RUFUS), CASTLE SERVANT, INTRO, GORLAG 2, LUCIEN - You sir, are one talented dude. o.O;;
Klaymen - KING BIRCHELL - You sir, are a charming king. =3 Voice is a bit deep and intimidating but carries the character well.
Sophie Neveu - LIA - Wow. I love your Lia. Very articulate and sweet. Your microphone quality could stand to be better but than again, I'm one to talk. XD I feel your pain!
Emcgo - GATEKEEPER, NAITPAC GLIMEGREES - Emcgo. X3 You are too awesome. Honour to be voicing with you.
PhaeThorn - ROWAN - Your voice is one that makes girls swoon, dude. XD
JauntyHat - SIEGFRIED - I think your voice is too befitting. XD I adore it!
Laura Fedora - KOORK, MISTRESS - I think your Koork and Mistress were very good. But your voices sound very similar and sometimes, I was a little thrown off. ^__^;; Try to make sure they're distinguishable.
Mippa - TAYLA, JULIA - Mippa, honour to be voicing with you. =P I adore your Tayla.
Mary Bruhand (TinkerJet) - EMTEH - Haw. Fail.
Randi Anderson - MIRA - I really, really like your Mira voice. VERY befitting. X3 You carried your character well.
Fiona Thraille - GLORIA NAYDLE - Honey, I love your accent. XD Act on!
Alright! Story Time!
The story was a bit slow moving until this point but I notice the chapters getting longer and more in-depth. I think you left off on a cliff-hanger that people will be interested to continue from a few months from now. It's an honour to be in such a romantic, dramatic and at times, action-filled story... and with so many talented voice actors. ^__^
Mixing: The mixing only got better as you kept going. You added more SFX as you continued and got better with normalizing and editting. I shouldn't talk. My own mixing is horrible. XD
Anyways, that's my attempt at a horrible critique. Hope it's at least somewhat helpful.

lol... wow... looks like you mixed so fast that you missed a few things including a classic Mippa blooper on the line, "She gave me a leaf decoction of Datura to relieve it." (Though I don't know if that was intentional.)
Not to mention some pops and such... x__X also, I want to ask... why does everyone have a different pronounciation of certain things? Are you chalking that up to character accents? XD
You rush too much on this... don't stress yourself. Seriously. But glad to hear it coming along. Can't wait for the next chapter.

I must have removed the good line instead of the blooper. I cleaned every file, you are probably confusing pops with the sound of the fire in the kitchen.
Pronunciation I gave up on lecturing (I had sent out an email to the cast...apparently disregarded) so I am chalking it up to character accents because I gave up trying to instruct when students aren't willing to listen.
I'll fix that decoction bit :)

No...it was more of a rasberry and repeat. I've already got the fixed file up.
