Mafia: Game Two

Alright, it actually worked out, though there were some complications, Mafia-wise. So let's do this again.

So let's play again! This time, let's have more players, and hopefully a SLIGHTLY longer game. Twelve players, perhaps some different roles, let's go, post in this thread if you want to play!

As the town congregates, they quickly come to a conclusion.

"Shintarou has a different sleeping schedule. Obviously, if he's awake while we sleep, then he's scum. String him up!"

They burst into his house, bind him and bring him to the gallows. Shintarou whimpers a bit as Kei tightens the noose.

"I have only one regret," he moans, "And that is that I-"

Kei pulls the lever and Shintarou hangs, finally expiring after five minutes of agony.

The town gathers on the morning of day two to see what has happened. As per usual in situations like this, someone is missing. And it's not too good.

Quickly a headcount is taken and finally they go to the house of the missing member.

Inside his house they find the place neat and tidy. In the living room lies a fallen man, a single gunshot having been fired into his heart. He lies motionless on the ground. A quick search of the premises finds that the corpse had obviously been ambushed and killed in a surprise action.

The search also reveals some more information: a book on law enforcement, extra handgun rounds, and three pairs of handcuffs. Everyone leaves dejectedly, closing the door on the house.

KEI, TOWN COP, HAS BEEN MURDERED

Day Two begins! With ten alive, it takes six to lynch!

"Kyo did it!" Someone yells.

"I have evidence!" Comes another voice.

"I don't care, I just love killing!" Cries out another.

Kyoshiro begins to leave, hoping not to be noticed by the mob, but is ambushed and carried to the gallows.

"Final words?" Tony smiles, his hand on the lever.

"Make my death cool." Kyo smiles, his eyes tearing up.

The lever is pulled and the force of the rope decapitates Kyoshiro-Kun. His body lies motionless in a pull of blood and musculature.

Checking his house brings something strange to light, however: A book of appointments with some mysterious allies, and a ring with an insignia speaking of his allegiance to some man named Don.

A hit list is also found, with Kei's name crossed off the top. The discovery is clear.

It is now night two! Actions, please!

I will be gone for an hour or so. I was hoping all the night actions would get in before I left, but alas, some people are slow.

The town awakens to gather in the town square. You grumble amongst yourselves, complaining of the bright street lights that keep you up each night. Finally, someone notices that the biggest leader of conversation is missing.

You all head to her house to find a gruesome sight: In the bushes outside her own home, Nikki Wright has been rended asunder. Parts of her lie over the neatly trimmed, duck-shaped hedges. Her blood stains the green grass red, her first aid kit lies open on the ground, it's pieces scattered next to the meat-stained chainsaw.

NIKKI WRIGHT, TOWN DOCTOR, IS DEAD

Day 3. With eight alive, it takes five to lynch.

Unless it was purposely done to throw everyone off track, a member of the Mafia wouldn't easily vote for the death of another Mafia. And Tony voted for Kyoshiro(-kun), who turned out to be a Mafia.

But of course, there's always that the exception mentioned above, if he purposely did that to throw everyone off, to make himself look innocent.

(A member of the mafia would most definitely vote for the death of another mafia member to ensure that they look innocent. It's done all the time in this sort of game. You take one for the team, as the saying goes.)

Knowing someone is going to be hungg no matter who you vote for anyway, It would make sense to toss you vote towards hanging a fellow mafia member than make an arbitrary vote *shrug*

HAMMER DROPPED

The decision is made, the majority has ruled, and the mob is formed. Pitchforks, torches, knives, spades, all manner of village weaponry is hoisted high into the air as they make their way towards Tony's house.

Tony stands alone in his bathroom. He saw the writing on the wall and retreated home, downing a plate of a spaghetti before changing into his finest suit. He looks in the mirror at himself, calmly adjusting his cufflinks as the door behind him bursts in.

He turns quickly and scowls.

"Ya finally come for me, ya buncha cunts?!" Tony cries, "Couldn't make up your damned minds and finally, one of you stupid cunts stabs me in the back! Well that's just peachy. I'll go quietly."

Tony allows his hands to be tied behind his back by Rikka, who solemnly leads him to the gallows. He stands silently, eyeing the crowd as the noose is placed around his neck. He chokes in his bit of rage, before smiling, his eyes closed tightly.

"You buncha cunts," he laughs, "You think you got me? You think you saved yourselves by killing me? I own all of you, you cunts! I own ALL of you! And you read my lips, you worthless sacks, you will all die. I promise you all, you will all die."

With that, Rikka pulls the lever and the rope hangs tightly. Tony hangs in the air, still laughing slightly before his final gasps fade. The stunned town members return to their homes, shocked at the display. It doesn't even take an investigation of Tony's house to realize what has happend.

TONY, MAFIA DON, HAS BEEN LYNCHED

It is now Night 3! Send in night actions ASAP!

The town awakens, your fears growing after Tony's chilling final words from yesterday, his very sinister promise. You gather in the center of town, making a head count.

"Wait a minute," someone asks, "What the hell is going on?"

Seems like someone did a good job, or else someone did a bad job. Either way, the sun has risen on day four...

NO ONE HAS DIED.

It is now day four. With seven alive, it takes four to lynch.

HAMMER DROPPED

"In the shadows?" Fruitfly cries exasperatedly, "Someone's quick to point- MMF!"

Quickly a hand wraps around her smouth with a rag covered in chloroform. When she awakens, Fruitfly finds herself bound to a rope, another rope around her neck. The town has encircled her, Rikka in the front with her arms folded across her chest.

"Nice try, friend," she smiles, whiping the dust off of her nails, "You really almost had us there. Of the entire group, you were the most insane of them all."

The haze lifting, Fruitfly looks around herself, seeing the scowls of the townspeople.

"I searched your house just a few moments ago," Kazuki grunts, "I found some pretty damaging evidence. Orders from a man codenamed 'Oriculum,' a bevy of papers with detailed anatomy printouts, and of course... this."

Kazuki lifts from his shirt pocket a gun, covered in a paper towel. As his coat slings open, his badge flashes quickly. Fruitfly makes out the words "Deputy" in big, bold letters.

"Last night, as I was sleeping," TheFuchsNoir moans, "I was shot in the chest. I would have died. I..."

Holding his wound, he passes the gun to Rikka, who waves it around.

"Luckily, I was watching him last night," she smiles, "Making sure that such an innoccuous target wasn't to be extinguished. I did my job well. You? Not so much. Sloppy, sloppy."

Rikka passes the gun to Cody, he only blushes.

"I've been quiet these past few days," he grumbles, "But I've been watching each night. Each night I would stay outside someone's house. If they made a move, I'd stop them. While I, um, never actually stopped anyone from doing anything... I can vouch for everyone else here."

He passes the gun to SakuraLee.

"We're all innocent, you murderer." she scowls, handing the gun to Chinomi.

"And you'll pay for your crimes." Chinomi mutters.

There is a silence as TheFuchsNoir hobbles towards the lever, ready to end this nightmare. Finally, however, Fruitfly speaks.

"You got me," she says, her blank face twisting into a smile, "But hell, it doesn't really matter. I had my fun. We're going to pull out the reveals? Okay, wonderful. I was Don Tony's personal hitman. Each night, I went out. Each night, I made the kill. The pig Kei, the bitch doctor Nikki... it was beautiful. Just beautiful."

The town members stand in silence.

"But it's all fine," she continues, "I got my taste. You can never unsee what was done here. We're out there, my organization. In many towns like this all across the globe. There's more of us, and there'll be more of me. But I suppose I've done my part, and I suppose I'm finished."

With a quick as lightning maneuver, Fruitfly slips out of the ropes, startling the crowd. She grabs the gun from Chinomi and leaps from the gallows to the much taller fence behind it.

"You've won," Fruitfly cackles, "Relish this moment! REMEMBER WHAT I DID FOR YOU!"

Fruitfly lifts the gun to his head and fires, her body falling fifteen feet from the top of the fence to the ground below.

FRUITFLY, MAFIOSO, IS DEAD.

"Huh..." Rikka sighs, "I... guess we won. Didn't we?"

"Sure we did," Cody smiles, "Sure we did."

The six townspeople walk together back to the town square, past it and to the cemetary. It was finally time to mourn the dead and go on with their lives.

At least... in this town.
