Excellent question! It is made up of a team of talented artists and designers that are here to help other aspiring artists by critiquing their work, in a postive manner, to help you advance further with your talent and passion. Also a place to show of your work for others to see. Also there will be awards given out: gold, silver, bronze, for your art through the crique to put on your site to show off. Also once a year there will be an art contest and the winner will receive a 1st prize trophy and once a year there will be a cash prize compitition. There will be different catagories to judge.

So that's different from the VAC at the top right hand corner of this website then? Also going in direct competition with sites like deviant art?
Good luck mate your going to need it.

lol! Oh, no we are not in competing with devian art by any means, lol! No no no! We are a total separate etity with different goals. This is for people of this community who are also interested in art. What we do is our council critiques there work and they can receive prizes based on the quality of their work. We will also offer tutorials and technique based things that will be posted on the VA Council (which stands for both Visual Artists and Voice Actors, i know it's a little confusing). I'm trying to get something going for the artists in this community, because there are so many talented people. So we review pieces of their work. We do not host work, unless you are one of the top winners in which you will then be added to the featured artists section where you can showcase a gallery of your work.

If the art works good enough There are one or two original works that I might consider commissioning for, CD cover art, inlay illistrations that kind of thing. Yup you heard me, that's money for drawing.......

are you saying that you want me to pay you to submit your art? If that's what you are asking you are totally missing the point. I don't think I can make it any more clear than what it is, and if you want me to pay for you to submit your art, I won't. It is not about that at all, it's about artists coming together and helping each other out so they can improve their technique/craft. Plus I 'm giving out awards and prizes to the winners, and I'll be spending enough money out of my own pocket for that, I sure can't afford to have people to submit their work, plus just recently I have had a bunch of submissions to start going through.

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=commissioning&db=*
transitive verb, second meaning. The usage might be a tad incomplete but the meaning still applies. If one wishes to be paid for artwork then, one wishes to be commissioned, If one wishes to PAY an artist FOR a piece of work then one is.........................commissioning.
