There are 2 (soon to be three...wait...the third one could have been released by now, not sure) books in this series. I've read them all. (well, obviously except for the one that hasn't come out yet. XD) They're supposedly for teens, but I really like this story. Has anyone else read it?
I really only bring it up because I saw a commercial on youtube for the third book and I really dislike the actress...>_>...But really, I just want to know who else has read the books. Cause I haven't met anyone else who has.

These are the ones about the kids with wings, right? I remember reading them but it seems to me they were (at the time) not marketed toward teens and the titles were different  I enjoyed the heck out of them and wouldn't mind reading them again.
ETA:
Ok, I found the titles... "When the Wind Blows" and "The Lake House". They were the first two novels featuring Max and company and it looks like the later novels were geared for a new audience.
I thought I was going mad!
If you enjoyed the later ones, you might try looking for the first two. They were really very good!

Hah, Yep, I've actually read the first two after I got into Maximum Ride. The first two are way different and really geared toward a different audience, as you've said. But the Maximum Ride books are definitely geared toward teens.
So I suppose you haven't read the actual Maximum Ride series yet, then?

No, I haven't. When I opened the thread I thought they were the same thing.
I may have to try them, though.

Not only were the two previous titles geared toward a different audience... the characters were not the same. Only Max Ride had the same name in both series. I found When the Wind Blows and The Lake House to be superior titles, if only for the more mature subject matter. Patterson's description wasn't limited as it was in the more recent titles. The Maximum Ride series is definitely a fun series (soon to be a movie project, from what I've seen), and because it is geared toward a younger audience, it is going to be a bigger draw all around because not only will the younger readers jump in on an author they likely never read before, but James Patterson fans will not be far behind. At least, that's the path Max and Co. took when they hit the bookshelves.
Fun books. I do urge those who enjoyed Maximum Ride and have not read the Wind Blows and The Lake House to do so. I doubt your disappointed, even if you have to throw your knowledge of Maximum Ride out the window when you sit to read.
