Well, since I can see that you have had a lot of experience singing, I'm going to critique your work a little more harshly than I would normally someone else. But I'm going to start out by saying that you're very talented and I'm pointing these things out to help you get even better. ^_^

But I Do Love You - Brilliant work, very technically sound. You sing with lots of emotion, but it sounds like you're holding back a little. Don't be afraid to let all of it out, because you can make it so much more. But like I said, brilliant work. Oh, and did you add the harmony yourself.

If I Fall In Love - Again, absolutely brilliant. It starts off so controlled and brimming with emotion. Perfect pitch too. Somewhere in the middle of the song, you seem to hold back again except for when you are holding a note. But you end the song as strongly as you started,

Eternal Flame - This one, while great technically, can seem a little like you're thinking too much about what you're singing and not just let it flow. Also, watch your pitch when you are repeating the same note (first "is this burning an"). Sometimes you were letting it slip just a little. That was the only thing I can see wrong with it technically. Next time you record this song, just close your eyes and really feel the music... if you get what I mean.

Promise Me - This, I feel was the weakest of your pieces. It was almost as you "snuck in" at the start instead of coming in strongly like the other songs. Also, you have to be careful when you're singing the higher notes and remember to support them a little extra. You ended quite strongly so, that's great. Try to believe the words you are singing, and it tends to give the words an exrta push.

I'd Give My Life For You - Oh, I remember this one when I sang it for higher music at school. Love this song sooo much. I actually think that this might be your best one (this one or "But I Do Love You"). You start out very strongly and you give great build up to the song's climax but you can push it a little further, though. You did a great diminuendo to bring the song right to its low point again. Just watch your timing at certain parts. And that bit that starts "was he a ghost" should be very powerful, but quieter than that. The notes at that particular part shouldn't be held to their full length and should sound kinda like you might cry, then bring it right up to the 2nd climax starting at "sun". You brought the 2nd climax brilliantly, absolutely stunning vocals there, and you ended very stronlgly.

That about wraps it up. You know, you're voice sounds a lot more mature considering your age. You're a great singer, and you've definately had a lot of experience, and your clips reflect that. Excelent work. Did you mix them yourself? Anyway, sorry if I sounds like a big know-it-all, but music is my thing and I studied advanced higher music at school with my first instrument as voice. ^_^ Hope to do it at uni as well after my year out from the last course. Hehe... Well, I know you'll go far and I wish you lots of success.

Wow.... your voice is definately sounds soo beautiful! Sugoiiii!!!!!!!!!!!! You've got great emotion in your singing. (Any tips on that? hehe) You voice kinda Reminds of American Idol. *nods nods* I'm not much for critiques...i'm not very good at analyzing music or singing.. but you do sound wonderful! Very very proffessional.

Thank you so much. I have been singing in public since I was 6 but I am not proffessional. I entered a competition called x factor last month with simon cowell from pop idol , he didn't like the way I looked, I am size 16 uk (size). I needed to be thin to get through never mind I am young and have plenty of time I think you are all great on here. Thanks again for the nice comments :D leah-marie

WOW you have a beautiful voice!! Honestly I thought you sang the song better then Lee Ann Rimes herself. :wink: Simon and his little "x factor" :roll: You have a great voice. You had a lot of control over your voice which made it so smooth. And the emotional you added into your songs were just amazing! You have talent. Make sure you remember this board when you make it into the BIG music buisness. :D Well keep singing and sharing your talent!!

As much as I like Simon Cowell, sometimes you just gotta say "F U maaaan!" XD

Hey, size 16UK? Doesn't sound too bad. Bigger girls are cuter IMHO, skinny twiggy girls make me feel nervous. They lookl ike they can be broken in two by accident o.0

I'll go check out your singing in a bit, too.

Leah-Marie,

You're the most talented singer who've ever posted on this board !

You definitly have the potentiel to go professionnal.

I'll be honnest with you, yes size does matter in showbusiness, whatever people say here. Even myself, with 125 lbs and 5'3'', its still too much weight for popness and tight clothes.

However, 95 % of pro singer do not sing like anorexic pop idol. They do voice acting, voice over, singing into commercials, back-up singers (ex: for Celine Dion - actually, divas have stronger back up singers then themself), they go classic and opera, they do browdway musicals...

I guess you already have an agent. If I owned a record company, I would take you immediatly ^^;

Dont give up !!
