I forgot my umbrella again
Silly girly -- when are you going to learn?
The rain falls from the sky, drop by drop,
Slowly at first; On the pavement, plop, plop, plop...
The trees whisper, and absorb their drink,
As I, chagrinned, think...
Middle of summer, yet a winter's storm,
I long to be home, safe and warm
Can't be helped, though, so I walk,
Onwards to home, not stopping to talk.
But still, I suppose we should embrace,
The gift of nature which now shines my face.
I might be soaked, but in time, it will help,
Turning birth to growth, filling lakes, sufficiency of self,
But yes. I forgot my umbrella again.
Silly girly -- when are you going to learn?
