Non Recurring
Homeless Stereotypical old drunk homeless guy kinda crazy
HOMELESS: <muttering and grumbling slurring and drunk> Gern take my
sheets. Folded em nice, but they keep putting their dirty hands
on 'em. Can't fold em till they're clean. Bottle of joe. Makes
the cold go!
Super Cranky old man. Could be the same VA as the Homeless guy. I want bitterness in this character to bleed from every pore.
SUPER: Apartment 18 . Carbelo's been living here for maybe two years. Quiet, kept to himself. Paid his rent on time. No complaints from his neighbours. Folk's like this place, its got ambience you know. Along this part of town the place was going to be real up market. Then it all turned to crap.
Douglas Andrews Gulf War (Desert Storm) veteran. Late 30's male. Don't like talking to cops.
ANDREWS: About a year ago. There was a fellow came along. All suit and tie and thigh waders. He took water samples and some river weed away.
Grady Standard police officer (male or female) VA will also play a second younger police officer. So I need two different voices.
GRADY: You're nine o'clock is here Chief.
OFFICER: Jogger found a body this morning. Caucasian male, early 30's face down on the river bank.
Chief another stereotype angry senior police officer thick in the waist and has high blood pressure.
CHIEF: Come on in Miss Farmer. Grady don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Lois Police dispatcher Female (middle aged)
LOIS: He's checking on a suspicious death occurred last night down
in Riverview.
Nya a water spirit. Cold alien and female.
NYA: Your mother's mother, she was known to us. She was a strong guardian. For now, trust no one.
RECURRING AND MAJOR ROLES
Mike a recurring character think "The Man" in The Crow leader of The Posse but surprisingly intellectual for a gangsta.
MIKE: Winston Churchill was speaking of Russia when spoke of it as a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. Central Park is like that. Andrews is merely the hermit on the mountain. He keeps to himself, and the forces that pass leave him be. He understands that much. Which is nothing.
Lily Female, 20's. Mike's concubine and sorcerous witch. Sultry, dangerous and dark.
LILY: I do. The word from upon high is that this woman you walk with stands alone.
Stephanie Andrews Female, late twenties early thirties. Very smart detective. Think "Bones" but with out the social retardation.
STEPH:
He lies about things he's always lied about. He was honest
about the crime scene though. He did find the body, just the
way he said. But he also saw Cabelo die. Andrews may even
be the killer.
Mackenzie Finch Male, thirties. Stephanie's partner. A good detective, somewhat cynical and secretly homosexual.
FINCH:
George Desburg was the town's founding father. Started the
first lumber mill here back in 1810. His descendents still hold
pride of place in the local hierarchy. Mostly behind the scenes now, living off investment income. Got their manicured fingers in some pretty rich pies.
