"Robin Hood - Wraith of Sherwood".
This is our's online studio's take on the origin of Robin Hood. Robert, Earl of
Huntington is arrested, and his manor is burned down. From the ashes
rises the ghost of the forest, that is known as the legendary Robin Hood.

Anyone intersted in trying out for a role, please send ALL audition
lines for the chosen character/s, and record as clear a sound as
possible, with your best performance.

As well as being an audition, these are the actual lines we will use
in the production.

You should number all MP3s or WAVs accordingly, and place them in a folder with the character name. Zip the folder with name_robinh.zip
Ex:reaper_robinh.zip

Send MP3 or WAV files with your NAME and EMAIL ADDRESS to
kenoiyan@aesautomation.com.au
Please record in 44.1 kHz and 128 Kb/s.

Deadline: March 25, 2007

If you've been selected for a role, we will let you know, and keep you
up to date on the progress of the production.

Accents: British, Irish, and Aussie accents are welcome. But
none are required. American sans is just as good. Acting is paramount
over voice.

Oh come on you VAs! I can't believe that nobody's interested in a real audio drama. What are you all here for?

Give it a little more time than 12 hours before "begging". I'll tell ya now that you might want to set a deadling of about a month to let some of the people see it. I've had to extend deadlines that got a lot of responses but not all roles auditioned for. Generally, the anime stuff goes fast on here, but original stuff takes some time. Give it a little and good luck.

Jester

PS If I had more time I might audition for a couple roles.

Thanks for the advice Jester.

It looks like it's as slow as we feared. I know you're experienced with these kind of things on the VAA, so I'll take your word for it.

I hope we get some results by the end of this month, otherwise we'll have to exclude the VAA as an active source for available actors.

I hope there are some talented starting actors and actresses out here, who are looking for a chance to shine in a quality online production. :facefault

We're trying our best to fit as many accents as we can. But how well an actor acts is way more important then if he's got an accent or not. We don't really want a flat production either.

Thank you for your interest. Now let's get some auditions in. :D

So those of you who are reading this and still have not auditioned - but wish to - please hurry up and send your performances. :|

I love Robin Hood!

But, if I may be so bold as to ask, what have you done (completed) in terms of audio dramas before? (I think producers should always list a short resume so as to show what chance any project has of seeing completion.)

Now that is too bold to ask!
Just kidding. The studio has successfully completed quite a number of amateur audio dramas - though not at the VAA - so I don't feel they need a special mention, but Robin Hood is something new and much more serious, so we are going for a bigger fish here. Our sound engineer has improved much in the last year or so, and the whole current cast and crew feels that we are ready to embark on something more serious. Robin Hood is going to be our most significant project yet.

Thank you for your interest. Are you planning on auditioning, or were you just curious?

> Are you planning on auditioning, or were you just curious?

Half and half. Like I said, I love Robin Hood, but don't have a lot of time so I have to be picky as to who to audition for. Only if I get a real sense that the project is going to be finished will I be able to go out for it.

There's never a guarantee for that. But we are trying our best, and have not the slightest intentions of giving it up. Hope that gives you peace of mind. ^_^
