.hack//DUSK or Legend of the twilight

It was ok, but I do have a couple of complaints and positive points.

Negative
1) THERE IS NO WAY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH THAT IF YOUR A LVL 1 CHARACTER YOU CAN SURVIVE A HIT FROM A LVL 49 MONSTER. That is just comman .hack sense.

2) The bgm was horrible comparred to all the other .hacks bgms.

3) Rena was SOOOOOOO whinny about nothing! "This wasn't mentained in the instruction manuel" It's "The world" for goodness sake. Wouldn't you think with the .hackers thing that anything is possible in this game? Even so, it's an online game, so anything could happen. That line really ticked me off.

4) Why would CN say .hack//sign when they were announcing up coming shows? Um... last time I checked, this was Dusk/Legend of the twilight. This is nothing to do with Tsukasa.

Positive:
1)Kudoes to CN for actually airing both opening and ending songs. And with Japanese text, no less. I lvoe the op and ending songs alot, so I was very happy.
2) Excelent dubbing to the original. I've only seen a subtitled music video *the song was in german. Ironic that a german song would be with scenes with .hack lol (for those who don't know, it's becuase the poem that fragment, the game before that The World was based on, The Epitaph of Twilight, was made by a german woman, Emma Warden* They stuck a far amount to the original. Always a plus.

Aw man, I missed it as well. Cartoon Network should really advertise their new shows more often. Well, I hope they at least show the first episode again even though I already saw a fansub.

All the >hack dubs I have seen are good. I only wish i was in Cali to have ahd a chance tp be in one. Anyways ive got the first volume of .hack//legend of the twilight bracelet with the box and i like it alot, i cant wait until the next one comes out.

Actually I did see it, after I realized it was on here much later..I hate that..haha

Anyways It was pretty good thoguh the fact that they kept calling it .hack//sign when it isn't was annoying. I didn't really find anything bad with the dub. Though the shortening of the name for the american release was stupid, what's wrong with the full title (.hack//legend of the twilight bracelet)

OK... I went out and bought the DVD XD

It's a pretty good series. Not better than SIGN, but still pretty good... I don't think I'll be watching it in English very often though since Shugo and Rena's voices annoy the hell out of me >.O Every other voice is fine (Steven Blum as Sanjuro?!?! ALL RIGHT!!) Not one of Bandai's better cast choices, but whatever. It's .hack, so it's all good =)

Shugo has a girl playing his voice in the Japanese version. I'm a girl and I played his voice in a fandub. T_T So I shouldn't play him? *sob* -- He can be a teenage male and still sound like girl - what if his voice hasn't cracked yet? XD

I never watched the dub, but I want to. The music for the series isn't as great - but I don't think Yuki Kajiura (composer for the other .hack music) would've been right for this series. It's much more lighthearted, fun, and cute. ^^;

The manga is better though. It has Zefie. :P

No it's not that, it's just guys can play younger male characters too. They don't always have to be voiced by girls is all (cause they usually are voiced by a girl).

Count yourselves lucky you have cartoon network/whatever. Some countries don't have access to such things and instead show not too great stuff. On occasion, they'll get CN stuff but years after the fact.

I LOVE .hack//DUSK (as it is called in Japan) and surprisingly I love the dubbed version on CN. I think Shuugo's voice is AWESOME, but Rena is way too annoying and whiny. And I could skip seeing Shuugo without his shirt on in episode 5 lol. Anyway, overall, a very good show, that has decent dubbing, a must see for any anime fan.
