View Full Version : Dream Interpretations

I'd like to start this thread. Some people believe that dreams can decipher your present internal feelings, flag-points of your past, or even provide clues to the future.
I want this to become a discussion thread. If anyone has a dream I'd like them to post the details of their dream in this thread. Together the members of the VAA can analyze it using their own thoughts and perhaps attach a meaning to it. Not only is it helpful to the person who had the dream but it's also quite fun. I also own a dream intrepretation dictionary so I will try and include that into the dream discussions as well.
Dreams may be current, or they may be ones that have been stuck in your head for quite a while now.
Get at er'.

This is gonna sound weird, but lately I've had dreams where my appearance becomes altered in some way. And I don't mean just a 'dye my hair and change my clothing style' thing.
In one dream, all of my teeth fell out over the course of three days.
In another, I was attacked by a bear and lost my leg. The entire thing...
In a third dream, I lost my leg from the knee down, this time from falling rocks while hiking in the mountains.
In the third case, it was sort of a positive dream about me overcoming my new handicap. But in any case...
What on earth does all this mean? O.o
[edit]
I forgot to mention, I remember reading somewhere that a dream in which your teeth fall out means something specific, but I don't remember what. Can you and your dictionary help me, Chinomi?

Teeth falling out is definitely one of the most common dreams. There's an extremely long paragraph written about it but to sum it up:
If your teeth are rotten, crooked, and/or falling out this means that your lies are hurting someone very badly and that you will soon be found out.
I'm going to take specific keywords from the dream you posted and translate them and then try and write out a descriptive meaning for you :3

Bear and Leg Dream
To dream that you are being pursued or attacked by a bear, denotes aggression, overwhelming obstacles and competition. You may find yourself in a threatening situation. Alternatively, bears symbolize the cycle of life and death and renewal. It may signal of period of introspection and thinking. The dream may also be a pun on "bare". Perhaps you need to bare your soul and let everything out into the open. To dream that you legs are wounded or crippled, signifies a lack of balance, autonomy, or independence in your life. You may be unable or unwilling to stand up for yourself. Perhaps you are lacking courage and refuse to make a stand.
Loss of Leg in Mountains
I already mentioned above about the wounded/loss of leg meaning, so I will cover the un-mentioned here. To see rocks in your dream, signifies permanence and stability as expressed in the familiar phrase "as solid as a rock". It may also indicate that you are making a commitment to a relationship. Or you may be contemplating some changes in your life that will lay the groundwork for a more solid foundation. On the other hand rocks may also symbolize stubbornness, disharmony and unhappiness. To dream that you are hiking, represents progress and achievement. With perseverance and strong-will, you will make it far in life. To dream that you are climbing a mountain, signifies your determination and ambition.
Overcoming a Handicap
This is hard to pinpoint on a certain keyword so I will simply say that it's a sign of success in overcoming an obstacle that was in the way of you completing something you truly desired or were forced to achieve.
----
CHINOMI'S THOUGHTS
So, if we string these three dreams together it becomes rather simple. In either the past, present, or future you faced something mentally disturbing which affected the way you lived. Whatever this mental attack was/is/will be, it affected the way that you normally went through life, but did not have either the bravery or materials needed to overcome it. Moving on to the next dream: this mental obstacle has taken itself to the extreme, you cannot handle it anymore. It's bringing you complete unhappiness. Thus you are determined and somehow find the means to leap over this obstacle. And the final dream signifies your success.
Hope that helps :D

I actually dont really think that dreams tell you what's going to happen in your future. But, like most people, I find it interesting to read and hear about what others think they are interpreting. I'm in a psychology class right now and we're talking about Freud's theories of dream interpretations. Very interesting :D

I am also in psychology. We havent gotten to Freud's dream intrepretations yet though. We're more focussing on sexuality at the moment,

Wow, awesome, Chinomi!
It's always interesting to look into that kind of thing.
The only thing that sounds inaccurate is the tooth
dream, seeing as I'm not a dishonest person.
I can see where the rest ties in. =D
Fascinating.

Does it mean anything if you've never had a dream in your life?
Chinomi

Well, there's nothing in my dictionary about that but I think it'd physically mean you're missing a sensory nerve in your brain which actually causes the dreams.
if I had to personally and symbollically attach it to something I'd say that there's a huge void in your life. Like, something really important should be there but your family and friends are hiding it from you. But it has to be to the extreme.
I researched it and one person didn't have dreams until she found out she had a twin sister on the other side of the world.

I researched it and one person didn't have dreams until she found out she had a twin sister on the other side of the world.
Really? That's fascinating. How old was she when she finally started having dreams?
And I'm curious, what are specific meanings a death can have in dreams? A while back I had this dream that a good friend of mine died. There wasn't any explanation for it, he was just gone, and another very close friend and I were talking about it(and for some reason we were in this huge...castle thing, if that has any relevance). For some reason, though, neither of us were sad or anything and we were acting like it was just something that happened every day, no big deal. I think that's all I remember, other than some really old guy coming in later to explain more about the other friend's death, or something like that...
Any relevance/symbolism there at all? O_o;

Isn't it true, though, that everyone dreams, and some people just don't remember their dreams when they wake up?
Oh, and I have another little puzzle I've been wondering about. I often have dreams like this. I am in a house that I recognize, talking with friends and their families, whom I am familiar with. Then suddenly, when I wake up, I realize that I've never been in that house before, and I have no idea who those people are. I was only perfectly familiar with the people and environment while I was dreaming.
Okay, I lied, since I'm going away this weekend, I'll give you a few more to interpret while I'm gone, so I can read 'em when I get back. =D
I also have dreams very often where I will open a door ro someplace, and then when I go back throught the door, it leads to somewhere else entirely. It can be as extreme as a garden gate suddenly leading into a dining hall, etc.
I've had dreams before in which I am talking to a friend, and then half-way through the conversation, their features start to change subtly, and I realize it's not my friend who I was talking to after all.
^ Actually, I have an idea what this one might mean, since it happened with one friend in particular, but I'll see what you make of it. =D
[edit]
Okay one/two more.
I seem to have dreams sometimes which sort of "predict the future" but not really...
for example, once I had a dream that I saw my little sister on crutches. That week she twisted her ankle. She was on crutches for about a week.
More recently, I had a dream that my brother came in one night and told me he'd rolled the car over. I was so scared all day that he'd have a car accident. That night, he did. he rolled the car into a drainage ditch on accident.
Now, I hadn't told anyone about these dreams until the real-life equivalent happened. Is that weird or what? O.o

Apparently she was around 10. It doesnt give an exact age.
And...
To dream about the death of a loved one, suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what do you like about him. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationship or circumstances. Alternatively, it indicates that whatever that person represents has no part in your own life.
To dream of your own death, indicates a transitional phase in your life. You are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Alternatively, you are trying desperately to escape the demands of your daily life.
I often have dreams like this. I am in a house that I recognize, talking with friends and their families, whom I am familiar with. Then suddenly, when I wake up, I realize that I've never been in that house before, and I have no idea who those people are. I was only perfectly familiar with the people and environment while I was dreaming.
I think that happens to all of us. The brain fools us into thinking we know the people or surroundings. It's kinda like when a T-Rex rampages through a school. We know perfectly well that would never happen, but we don't question it in the dream. We just go along with it. Why? I honestly have no idea.
This one is also hard to look up. Because I can't look up "Friends" and I can't look up "Strangers" because apparently they're both. The HOUSE however:
To see a house in your dream, represents your own soul and self. Specific rooms in the house indicate a specific aspect of your psyche. In general, the attic represents your intellect, the basement represents the unconscious, etc. If the house is empty, then it indicates feelings of insecurity. If the house is shifting, then it suggests that you are going through some personal changes and changing your belief system.
To dream that you are cleaning your house, signifies your need to clear out your thoughts and getting rid of old ways. You are seeking self-improvement.
If you live with others in your waking life, but dream that you are living alone, suggests that you need to take new steps toward independence. You need to accept responsibilities and be more self-reliant.
To see an old, run-down house in your dream, represents your old beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. A situation in your current life may be bringing about those same old attitudes and feelings. Alternatively, the old house may symbolize your need to update you mode of thinking.
To see a new house in your dream, indicates that you are entering into a new phase or new area in your life.

Okay...
I've had one dream frequently as of late.
What happens in it is that my town has this annual battle royale of sorts, where a bunch of women sign up and kill each other in an arena. It's in a new place each year so the police never find it, but it's rumored that everyone attends, even the law enforcement. Like, it's just a huge social event for our town or something. And in the dream I'm writing a persuasive speech for a class against it, but it seems like I'm the only person in the whole town who thinks it's wrong. Even my boyfriend and family are for it. And through a bunch of research and stuff I find out that if not enough women sign up they force innocents to do it.
It's just a really scary, bloody dream I have over and over. And I've not the faintest idea what it means. I asked my mom and she doesn't know either.

I'm curious too, but mine might be a little advance for a dictionary. (no offense to the person or people that has it or owns it or created it)
Before I start telling my dreams to everyone in this forum, I just have a couple of questions.
1. What does it mean when you see more than one of yourself in your dream?
(In mine, I see myself, looking at myself, looking at myself asleep)
2. When all the colors on the walls, ceiling, even the floor starts turning to water, what does that mean? (another key part in my dream)
3. If you go to a payphone to call for help, and you see only four numbers on the dial, what does it mean?
4th and final queestion. What does it mean to fly up in the sky, high enough that you can see the Earth and all it's glory, then all of a sudden, you start to fall like a meteor straight to the earth?
If you can answer these questions for me, I'll be more than grateful!!

CHECK this out:
What are with these freaky dreams I keep getting...with elevators?
I'd be on a school campus, a mall or a hotel. Either the elevator works, or procrastinates, or goes waaaaaaaay up to the top. And once in a while, when I get off, I think I watch it either work properly...or forcefully drop people.
The recent one, from like a 10 min nap I think, was probably the creepiest? Elevator kept effin' up. Lights were still on but it'd keep switching levels, and losing power. The two ladies with me almsot forced a door open so that we could escape but the elevator moved before that happened.
I'd like references on elevator...mistakes.

well, recently I had a dream I was playing Zelda on the Wii......but I've never played Zelda before since the 64 days, and I was diffenetly playing with the Wii cause I had the controler in my hand and i was fishing........I think this means I will get a Wii, cause I never had a PS3 dream before......interesting.
Uh yeah, I've actually had dreams when I was young and running up and down the stairs at our old two story apartment.....then suddenly I was pushed over the balcony and slowly made my way down.
next thing I knew my alarm went off and I was sleeping on the floor....so I think obviously I was rolling around in bed, and then without waking up I fell out of my bed and just didn't put two and two together.

Isn't it true, though, that everyone dreams, and some people just don't remember their dreams when they wake up?
Scientifically speaking, everybody dreams. You may think that you've never had a dream in your life, but you have; you just don't remember it, mostly due to the manner in which you've woken up, whether or not you actually receive enough sleep to enter the cycle in which one dreams, stress, or for the simple fact that some people "have a genetic disposition to forget their dreams as they come out of their sleep [dreammoods.com]."
Everyone shows signs of brain activity whilst they sleep, which, of course, means that everyone does have dreams. :bear

I kind of interpreted my own dream. The bold writing is my dream, the smaller is the definitions from dreammoods.com (Thanks, Nikki-sama. x3)
In my dream, I wake up in my bed…
To awaken in your dream, represents a spiritual rebirth. You may be acknowledging and embracing both your feminine and masculine aspects of self.
… I step out of my bedroom…
To dream that you are in the bedroom, signifies aspects of your self that you keep private. It is also indicative of your sexual nature and intimate relations.
… And go into the hallway.
To see a hallway in your dream, symbolizes the beginning of a path that you are taking in life or a journey into the unknown and self exploration. It represents spiritual, emotional, physical, or mental passages in your life.
I look into my kitchen…
To see a kitchen in your dream signifies your need for warmth and spiritual nourishment. It may also be symbolic of the nurturing mother. Alternatively the kitchen represents a transformation.
… And I see my mother…
To see your mother in your dream represents the nurturing aspect of your own character. Mothers offer shelter, comfort, life, guidance and protection. Some people may have problems freeing themselves from their mothers and are thus seeking their own individuality and development.
… Sitting at her computer…
To see a computer in your dream, symbolizes technology, information, and modern life. New areas of opportunities are being opened to you. Alternatively, computers also represent a lack of individuality and non expression of emotions and feelings. Too often you are just going along with the flow, without voicing your own opinions and views. You may also feel a depreciated sense of superiority.
… Many babies sitting behind her…
To see a baby in your dream signifies innocence, warmth and new beginnings. Babies may symbolize something in your own inner nature which is pure, vulnerable, and/or uncorrupted.
She closes her computer and picks up the babies. They enter her bedroom and get in bed…
I look in the living room…
To dream that you are in the living room represents the image that you portray to others and the way which you go about your life. It is representative of your basic beliefs about yourself and who you are.
… There is an empty cradle that she usually puts all the babies in…
To see a cradle in your dream, symbolizes a dependent relationship. You may feel the need to be protected and cared for. Your dream maybe telling you to regain some control and independence in your life. Alternatively, it represents a new project or fresh start.
My attention is drawn to my mother’s bedroom…
To dream that you are in the bedroom, signifies aspects of your self that you keep private. It is also indicative of your sexual nature and intimate relations.
… Where I see my choir director in a cloak.
To see a man in your dream, denotes the masculine aspect of yourself - the side that is assertive, rational, aggressive, and/or competitive. If the man is known to you, then the dream may reflect you feelings and concerns you have about him.
To dream that you are wearing a cloak, signifies the need for security, warmth and the feeling of being well protected. It may also mean that you are trying to cover-up or hide something.
For some strange reason I start praying to my (asleep) mother (LOUDLY). Telling her not to listen to the devil’s tricks, how he’s tricking her and etc.
To dream that you are praying, signifies a need to turn over some matter to a higher force and let it go. You need to learn to relinquish and let go of your worries. It may also be an indication that you need to pray more.
The entire time, my choir director is nodding, no expression on his face. I make a cross-sign with left hand (index and middle finger, to be precise) and say “in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.” The choir director nods one last time and this deep moaning sound fills the halls.
Suddenly, my body feel bound, as if by wire.
To dream that you are immobile signifies feelings of being trapped or that you are rigid in your attitudes and decisions.
I recite the Lord’s Prayer and I wake up near the end of it. The freaky thing was: I was whispering the end of it without my brain telling it to do so. As soon as I said “amen”, the wire feeling melt away. I got up, all freaked-out, and spent the past 30 minutes typing this out. X3
Is this accurate? If so, all the "new start" things... The funny thing is, I'm taking a vow to remain pure until marriage soon, and I just thought this was a bit freaky-deaky. o_O

From what I recall, the amount of seratonin in one's body can also effect how they dream/remember dreams.
I've always remembered at least one dream every night, and most of mine seem to be somewhat epic in length. I really won't go through an entire analysis, because honestly there is so much weird shit that goes on in my dreams that it would be a waste of time. Often, I believe that most of what goes on in my dream is just, eh... non-symbolic. I don't know that there is a meaning to most of it.
But, since I did have a fun one last night, here's a tidbit:
Chinomi and Sukisho were coming over to my house after school. Something about us all being latchkey kids, and our mothers deciding that it was better for us all to be in one place, together. Keep in mind that I have no idea what Chinomi looks like, so I made it up. I rode the bus, but they drove in C's car. C baked cookies and had them in a blue Safeway bag. They were sugar cookies, with pink frosting. Delicious. I had a stuffed lizard.
ANALYSIS: Chinomi needs to get in the kitchen and bake me some cookies!
FREUDIAN ANALYSIS: I want to have sex with everything.
I actually don't often dream of people I've met here, so that has me feeling kind of funny. Especially since I TOTALLY made up what Chinomi looks like. Weird.

I think that happens to all of us. The brain fools us into thinking we know the people or surroundings. It's kinda like when a T-Rex rampages through a school. We know perfectly well that would never happen, but we don't question it in the dream. We just go along with it. Why? I honestly have no idea.
This is because the part in your brain that arranges logic is asleep. Your logic is quite literally turned nearly off.
I will give my own shot at "interpreting". You'll see the use afterwards.
In my dream, I wake up in my bed…
As one would usually wake up at that start of a new day, this would mean that you want to start over.
I step out of my bedroom…
Your bedroom is the most private of places (except for your own body, of course). Leaving it means that you want to take a step outside, in a place you might not know of.
And go into the hallway.
A hallway is a hub of doors - a place to make choices in. You will face some situations where you have to make some choices regarding your future.
I look into my kitchen…
The kitchen is a place where you prepare food - a primary need for survival. Your attention being drawn to such a place signifies there is something going on concerning your very basic needs. (Breathing, food, water, sex, sleep, homeostasis, excretion) Also see, Maslow's Hierarchy of Human Needs.
… And I see my mother…
Your mother means safety. You are looking for a safehaven. That she's in the kitchen means that you're looking for safety concerning these needs.
… Sitting at her computer…
The computer means something modern. You need something new in your life. It could also mean information. This information will make you feel safe about your basic needs. (Mother in the kitchen.)
… Many babies sitting behind her…
Babies signify reproduction, the result of intimate love. It could also mean that part of you is under-developed.
She closes her computer and picks up the babies.
Enough is enough! You need your safety. You need to find out about your dream-baby!
I look in the living room…
The living room is a place where everything is open. You have a subconscious need to show who or what you are.
… There is an empty cradle that she usually puts all the babies in…
A cradle means a relationship. It being empty means that there's a problem. This is confirmed by you saying she usually puts the babies in there, meaning this cradle will stay empty.
My attention is drawn to my mother’s bedroom…
Mother, bedroom. You need safety concerning something intimate. Combining this with what has been said before, you have a problem with your basic intimate needs.
… Where I see my choir director in a cloak.
A cloak is mystery. A choir means something beautiful or innocent. What basic, intimate need are you still innocent?
For some strange reason I start praying to my (asleep) mother (LOUDLY). Telling her not to listen to the devil’s tricks, how he’s tricking her and etc.
On the inside, your safety and your religion clashes. You seek safety, yet finding this safety will be clashing with a religious belief.
The entire time, my choir director is nodding, no expression on his face. I make a cross-sign with left hand (index and middle finger, to be precise) and say “in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
The innocence inside you wants to remain faithful to your belief. Your religion obviously means a lot to you.
Suddenly, my body feel bound, as if by wire.
You feel inhibited or trapped.
THE CONCLUSION:
To sum it up: You're looking for safety (Mother) about something intimate (Bedroom), and you need it. But you're going to have to overcome some obstacles, such as your unconscious fear that you won't have a loving relationship (Empty cradle), and the obvious clash with your religion (Praying). When this is done, you can show who you are (Livingroom).
Conclusion: You're a closet homosexual who needs to come out. Woah, dude.
---
Yeah. It sounds all quite well-supported, but really, this is all a load of crap, I made it up. Every night you fall into a comatose and start hallucinating. That's what dreaming is. It does not give you a peek into your unconscious or the future or whatever, your brains just puts all these impressions and memories it has where they belong.

I only have one dream that I remember all to well.
I'm running along this pier and the water level is all the way up to the planks of wood. I'm basically in a Waterworld situation pier. I seem to be running from something because I turn my head and see a shark in the water. Next thing I know, someone in front of me manages to push me into the water and the shark is coming after me. I try swimming away as fast as I can but then I feel the shark's teeth chomp on my shirt and its pulling me away from whereever I was swimming to. I'm kicking it to try and get it off of me but that's when I wake up.

I'm going to tell you about a dream I used to have repeatedly. It hasn't occured in a while. Also, a more recent dream.
OLD DREAM
I am part of some sort of army. The dream implies that I am on a different side than my best friend Nida, but we're seen sort of "together" on the same side throughout the dream, so I believe she's a spy for my side. I'm trying to help this other group of people - mutants or something similar - from being exterminated by the humans who want to kill the "non-normal" people. I'm leading a group of refugees througha metal tunnel, something underground, and I turn around. Someone I feel is very close to me is there. I cry for them and they shoot me in the head. The last image I see is that person over me as the world fades. faces in the dream were replaced one by one with people I met, and the one who shot me was my then-boyfriend. I used to have that dream repeatedly until after I broke up with him, starting 3 years before I met him. I haven't had it in a while but had it a few time safter breaking up with him, and it was still him who shot me.
MORE RECENT DREAM
I dreamt I went to my Mom's house, and as I was walking up to the porch, m y (dead) cat Bagheera was there, mewling at me. He wanted me to pet him. MOm came out and said "Now, don't touch him, he may have rabies. Check him for rabies."
I said "Don't you have to kill him and open his brain to check for that?" and she said "No, no. LOok, I'll check him, gimme a minute."
I knew he was dead in the dream, which was one of the reasons I was leary in the dream.
NEW DREAM
I and my family (mom, dad and brother) are stuck in a very large Plantation-style mansion (think, Texas Chainsaw Massacre house or Louis' house in Interview with the Vampire), but the inside is more like a dark, gothic castle. I'm being threatened that they are going to kill and eat my mother. The house is owned by a family, the number I was given was over 100, and they are cannibals and they want to eat my family. I snap when I think they already killed my mom, and I break free of the table I'm on and start killing them all.
I find my family and we start busting our way out. I don't look like me (I never do, I look like an idealized version of me), and then I have red eyes and fangs like a vampire. I'm using old-style weapons (spears mainly) to push a bunch of old-looking cannibal people back as they reach through iron bars for my family, urging my dad to keep it up. BUt I kill everything before he gets a chance and I get this horribly urgent and frightened feeling, like I can't let him kill anything, and like I need to kill all of the cannibal people.
It ended right ab out with us getting out, but it never was finished.

I'm really wondering what the dream I had last night means:
I was in my room when a middle-aged Mormon lady came to the door and somehow let herself in. She then preceded to start harrassing me about seeing my Bible and if I believe in God and all this stuff, and, of course, trying to give me stuff about Mormonism and whatnot. So I eventually said leave, but she wouldn't, so I got progressively more threatening. It culminated in me threatening to sic Buddha on her... She still didn't leave, but eventually left... But still... I threatened to SIC BUDDHA on someone. wtf.
Maybe I'm having religious idenitity issues? o_o;

If means you feel safe with fat people who sit around all day, and are totally not comfortable with anything very religious. So you like to indulge in certain "sins" involving fat people. Conclusion: You are a feeder. GASP!

lol. So what would this morning's dream of getting the final Harry Potter book in the mail be? (A good dream. *sigh* my mom woke me up before I could see how many pages it was.... It was really thick, though! Wish I could've read it.....)
Well I have this dream of an island. On the island there was a haunted mansion. There are about 7-8 people with me on that mansion. That mansion was situated on a hill. and in a particular direction, a shore can be seen.
Then I could just feel something is not right in there. It's very weird but when I look out from one of the balcony of the mansion. I woke up.
Any ideas?
Also there's also this dream that goes something like I was rampaging in a WW2 hospital in the period also. Then after I managed to kill all the guys on the second floor, I went for the stairs which is in the middle of the rectangular hospital. The stairs are divided into 2 parts, you know... something like

As I'm about to jump on the stairs to get to the ground floor, a swarm of zombie-vampires flying up the stairs.
I woke up after that.
Any ideas?

Somebody's been either watching too much Silent Hill or playing too much Resident Evil. XDD
Sorry, I just thought that was funny. x3
It's okay, I have dreams like that all the time. :)

Everyone shows signs of brain activity whilst they sleep, which, of course, means that everyone does have dreams. :bear
Today, my science teacher told us that your brain is more active when you sleep than when you write out notes while your boring teacher is giving monotonous lectures =D Like, when you're mindlessly taking notes, there's like 50% the amount of brain activity of when you sleep. (Bad grammar?)
...and that was totally random. *Runs away*

About 6 months ago, I was having the same dream every night for a good 45 days.
I was some sort of James Bond character. I was infiltrating some sort of secret lab to discover the weapon that our enemies were creating. I was in one of the scientist's lab coats and everything (with my tux on underneath and everything).
Then just as I'm starting to learn something, a legion of zombies attack the installation. I'm now having to fight off zombies in addition to making sure my cover isn't blown, and escape.
I'm never harmed or wounded, because I'm the perfect person, but it was damned entertaining. Shooting zombie brains.

It's really weird, because I dream about events that haven't happened yet and have dreamt about people that I have never seen before. That may not sound all that weird but those events come true and the people I see in my dream look exactly the same when I meet them. That freaks me out.
I Had This dream last night
I was going to Die. I had this Problem with my head or Brain or something its so weird. In Real life I either get hit on the head or hurt it sometimes and I turn out Okay

I have had a many weird dreams in my life. When I was younger I had this one dream ALLOT and it freaked me out.
It starts out with me in the parking lot of a Sears store near my house. Little troll, monster looking things are at the door, telling me I can't enter and to go with them . I follow them to what looks like a city dump. There is a long metal fence I pass through which stretches on for miles in both directions. In front on me is a hill that stretches the same length as the fence. On top of this hill is an endless row of people.
There is a crane that is picking up people off the hill and putting them into a square pit. One of these people appears to be my uncle who is lowered into the pit, then when he comes out , he has a nose that lights up like in the game Operation. He walks away ,and I'm confused whats going on. Some head scary looking guy asks me who i want next and I tell him to stop, but he doesn't listen . He then decides he is going to lower me into this pit, I turn to run with these troll/monster creatures coming after me, then I wake up .
I haven't had this dream in years, but had it a great deal when I was younger. The wierd thing was , the dream was the exact same each time I dreampt it, and even though I knew what was gonna happen, I couldn't stop it or change it. Any ideas besides i'm nuts????

It means you are afraid of commitment. And that you fear becoming older and having to follow suit in you parents footsteps.
This is weird
I keep getting Dreams (Possibly not everynight but its hapened a bunch of times)
In My Dream, I swear at one point (or something) Mainly when Im angry I think
I remember in one dream I was Angry and swore at someone (Possibly an Enemy lol!) It was the b-a-s...(you know which one im on about lol)
In real life Im not a swearing type of person. Even If I'm angry I'm still not a swearing type of person

I used to have recurring dreams of an eternally downward spiralling evil ball of yarn.

In the majority of my most memorable dreams, I or someone close to me dies. More often than not, though, it's me. :D
It's kind of strange and sad and depressing when I wake up, especially when I'm not lucid during the dream, but I guess that's just what my brain does.
I'm just glad that I don't wake up in such a way to remember my dreams much of the time. Whether or not you remember them depends on how you wake. :)

ah, im the same as you windy. most of the dreams i remember are me, or someone very close to me (my dad, mom, sister, best friend), dies.
hmm..theres also two dreams/nightmares that i have, that completely freak me out. because i've had them more than once, yet, whenever i wake up in the morning, i can never remember or have the slightest idea of what happens in them. all i know is that it scared me? idk
btw, i was reading through these things, makes me want to go into psychology..XD
