The subject of Sakura-con came up over the weekend while hanging with a friend of mine. Asked him if he wanted to go hang out do some crazy stuff, he said he didn't have enough money cause he's trying to save for Sakura con, I think it'll be his 3rd or 4th year going....while me......ZIP.....

BUT! Because he reminded me I checked out my calender, gave a BIG OL smile (cause I get paid on the 5th of April) and so I put in my request for vacation from the 7th till the 11th (yes I know 1 day before, and 1 day after....I like to keep prepared.)

^_^ so all I gotta do is send out my check for registration and walah!

My friend is a staff member for the con (god knows what he'll do...) but he went to one of the meetings Sunday afternoon, yep drove his butt to Seattle for a 2 hour meeting...-_- *cough*

He said there's going to be ALOT of cool stuff appearing this year, and pretty much all the hotels in the Hilton are taken now. There's also going to be ppl directly from Japan who will be there, and a vast majority of them are expert cosplayers.... :shock:

I'm working on my outfit, its bee on and off in my head since maybe september. But I gotta buy a few more things and some new threads and some accessory stuff to go with it.....nnnnnooooootttttt telling what it is though!!!!

Nikki's gonna have fun trying to find me though :P I move with /\/1/\/j4 l33t stealthy skillz!

yeah the panel I'll be wearing regular clothes because it's just more comfortable. I haven't worked any many costumes either XD. However my main focus is Merle(just trying to finish up the fur)....and then my Ren Faire costume. Anywho it shouldn't be to hard to find me either and if you need a reference picture look in the Photo Album. If I get a chance I snaps some pictures of me in my costumes ^^

I tested out my new deck....it blew :P I lost so easily against my friend...so I got alot of revising and hmmmmmm alot of time to make it work!

Well after trying and TRYINGN to get ahold of one of my friends to find out if I'm riding with him or not (which I still can be) I finally just went ahead and booked a room at the Rodeway INN near the Hilton, Marriot and Clarion.

It's going to cost me 217 bucks for the 4 days I'll be in Seattle, but I should be in around noonish checking in and then I might just get alot of rest and think of how long I'll have to stand in line :evil:

Judging how my month is looking right now...being that a slow day every week this month at work, meaning no sales, and how much money I have to play in the next few days (PSP) I might have difficulties getting to Seattle.

Lets see....its 217 dollars for my 4 days in seattle, 50 dollars entrance fee, so now we're at 267, plus hmmm 50 for gas, that's 317, and an extra lets say minimum of 200 dollars for spending, not including gas or food...that's 517 dollars. That's almost an entire paycheck for my comission....if I don't make atleast 7-800 dollars by the end of the month I might not come afterall cause I got my car insurance and that's 750 dollars....

Hmmm, well good news is I struck over 23G's in sales this month, already over a grand in sales since this morning...(God you gotta LOVE selling computer parts to vehicles) so...maybe I'll get lucky!
I knwo I got a few hundred dollars right now....and its gonna drop real soon from my phone bill, and my car payment is 222 dollars....so right there is a big pain....I need around 800 dollars in my paycheck.....last month I barely got 600... :? so lets keep our fingers crossed....

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh ! :shock: I ran my numbers just about 15 minutes ago (still adding it up in some areas) I factored in my time from 3/15 to 3/28, guessed on today, thru thursday, came out as 109 hours (overtime)
then my commision of 25,000 by 2%...(I know this is boring) uuuhhhh in conclusion....if everything goes the way I plan.....yeaaaahhhhhhaaaaaa.....I can see myself going and maybe having some extra spending cash...sure!

I plan to that as well also since it's been months since i played. but yah i kinda look forward to duel in a tournament. I wonder how long the tournament runs for? I wonder if they'll have some other ones at later times.

According to my cheat sheet, the tournament is suppose to last 2 and a half hours. Which I find sorta fast, I've made duels last about an hour and a half against those in my skill level...but when I got against an 8 year old "WHA DAH HELL?!" is my expression as ti didn't last 2 minutes.

The last tournament I went too was 3 almost 4 I think years ago at a comic shop...I tied for 3rd place with like 6 others, but due to the lack of time solid winners were never chosen unless it was for first place....so I got a rinky dink card for nothing...some 20 bucks I blew.

Friend of mine stopped by (to leach some Bleach off me) and we got to talkin about whose going to the con....so far its him, a friend of his and myself...alot of our friends who normally go are dropping out cause they can't get enough cash....however I got my comission notice and we made are quota so I made almost 750 in parts alone. And my hours were 112 I think not counting all the over time...sooooooo big bucks ^_^ and if I can car pool with my friend next week I can up my spending a bit and not live off Ramen while I'm there! W00t! 6 more days for me to go!

Yep yep I think 3-4 weeks ago they came in with a new booster...and there's another one coming out at the end of may...I can't recall what it was called, Millenium something or other....:P to many to choose from. I am unsure of costume stuff. I was going to go to the convention in Nozomi's costume but now I have to take a plane and I would rather not fly in a short skirt XD and I can't check into the room till 3:00(Friday). So if I am in Nozomi's costume it will be after 3:00. I replaced Merle with Kotori...even though I look like a pink whale in it...I did work hard on it ^^. Merle can't come because I have not had time to finish a certain important aspect to it ;_;

and Yume will be on Sunday.

I really wanted to bring Merle but with 5/8 hour shifts in a row I'm just really brain dead.

I mostly just gotta go pick up a shirt but I'm thinking of picking up the other duel disc...I basically bought two outfits, same idea, just different colors.

The good guy variation will have a long sleeve white shirt, black shirt, cream colored pants with the normal Duel Disc.
The Bad guy variation will have black long sleeve shirt, white shirt and dark colored pants with the chaos duel disc.....yep....I'm THAT bored...might even make two different decks as best as I can....

I'm so bored right now lol I'm gonna try leaving early from work so I can get my shopping done.

Harhar! I had duelist Kingdom duel disk but i couldn't duel comfortably in it, i can't wait to see that other one you posted a pic of in person!
I also played some friends and my female theme deck sucks, it's just not strong enough Wah!!!

Yeah I'm bringing my mom's automatic camera with me and my brother will be taking my Digital Camera along with him.

Digital Camera's are fun and fast but with my luck I'd end messing it up some how.

I will hopefull be at the Marriott hotel around 10:00 to 10:30 Tomorrow(Friday) however I can't check into my room till around 3:00 so I'm not sure when I'll be in my Nozomi costume ;_;

I have my castlists all printed out so Saturday I'll bring it along with me incase anyone is curious ^^

When I got there i set up my stuff on the table, treg was already there and a few people had filled into the room. yay Nikki Jones was there too!!
So i waved her over to come and join us. Haushinka wasn't able to come right away since she was held up at the cosplay event.
So we winged it and began the discussion of AVAing and what we do, played the fandub clips. Joey in Drag was a big hit i recall the room burst out laughing at the one^^
the three of us answered lots of questions that people asked each with our own informative response.
It was then time for the script reading! Booyah! An original Inuyasha fanscript. i didn't want the AVAs to have already known the material that I was 'going' to use.
It's much better doing spot reading for this kind of thing. So i surprised them with a completely different script rather than the one we recorded for the halloween radio play. It was great we did a few reads through it allowing anyone who wanted to take part to read for a character. Treg impressed the room with his awesome Richard Cox Inu voice and I do recall some cheers from fangirls^_^
Yay haushinka showed up and played some of the clips that she brought and after a last read through on the script our panel ended.

Wow I didn't notice this till I looked at the site just now. I knew their contract with the Hilton ran out and they were gonna have to move. But I didn't realize where they were going to be relocated till now.

If I'm understanding this right, they'll be at the Washington Convention and Trade Center in Seattle on March 24th-26th....wonder if that's a good thing or not?

It's amazing that they already got all the information on hotels and location posted up after just a week of the con's ending.

But the rooms ARE spendy as hell. Cheapest going that they recommend is 125 a night....most expensive was that Hyatt place for over 130 for I think 2 people...nearly 200 for a group of 4....

I was almost dead set on going, but now 0_o haha....wwwooooowwww....that's more then what I think I bargined for.

They are actually getting a good deal on the hotels downtown...because normally they cost anywhere from 200-400 dollars a night. That's the bad thing about staying in the city. However food will be much easier to get, cheaper and better variety.

Anywho I think the con itself will be much more comfortable ^^. This year there was so many people that the halls and dealers room were packed. I don't like having to shove and push just to take pictures of cosplayers and check the goods out.

However I'm sure there are cheaper hotels around the area if you don't mind driving a bit to get the convention center ;)

Anywho we have some time to see what else they have in store for this new set up ^^

If I was still gonna be living in Seattle's U-District next year, I'd say: "OH THANK GOD BECAUSE DOWNTOWN SEATTLE IS SO MUCH FRIKKEN' EASIER TO GET TO THAN SEA-TAC ON A U-PASS" but I'm not, so the move doesn't really affect me.

Seriously, guys. There are hotels in the U-District, just book one of them and take a 71, 72, or 73 directly to downtown. Whee!
