THE STORY
Anna was stabbed at random while she was working at McDonalds one night. She made it to the hospital and died in the hospital at 9:00 that night. This shouldn't be happening. The man that stabbed her is being charged with murder. He shouldn't be living. A life for a life. Anna was such a sweet beautiful girl. Remember to enjoy the time given to you and appreciate your loved ones, friends and family alike, since you never know when your time comes or if your life will be taken from you. She has touched people around the world. She's got people in the UK crying. She was graduating this June. She missed her birthday. "[lovely] is legal is legal in 6 days" is her MySpace name...
R.I.P Anna Svidersky
Wow. This is really sad. I don't even know her, but it makes me want to cry. What is everyone elses opinion

Well, this certainly belongs in "TBONTB".
As for the story, its sad, but stuff like this happens all the time. Nothing you can do about it and no use worrying your head off about it.
It really is sad.
I don't agree with the "eye for an eye" thing, though.

I'm gonna go ahead and just say this is kind of a pointless thread. Heartwrenching, sure. But what discussion is there to be had?

We could discuss the death penalty in this thread, we could discuss how random acts of violence happen pretty much all the time. We could talk about maybe the justice system. But we'll probably talk about k_star and sakura_ai and moose.
We could discuss the death penalty in this thread
There is already a TBONTB thread about the death penalty.

Shit. I think this thread has just become a thread about discussing this thread's very existence. Whoa.
Adds a whole new meaning to "To Be or Not To Be".

I don't believe in a life for a life D:
Didn't FullMetal Alchemist teach you that, Fullmetal Alchemist? ;3
A life doesn't equal a life- You just end up with two dead people.
Killing the dogs doesn't heal the bite. And killing the murderer isn't going to bring back that girl.

Ooohhh...exciting. I was just commenting on how this thread wasn't exactly pointless, but seeing where it's gone...I was TOTALLY wrong :3
Goodness, that happened not more than a couple towns over from here. Big hit to the area. Shame. Et cetera.

It is awfully sad.... But in my opinion, the guy should not get the death penalty, instead he should be mentally evaluated by psychologists to determine what exactly
went haywire with him, and how this type of thing can be prevented in the future.
The only even partial redemption for this guy is to make him to give himself up to
science. And of course the guy needs to spend the rest of his life in either jail
or a mental asylum.

Actually if this is the story that I'm thinking about, the guy's already been locked away in a mental hospital and was classified as a sex offender/predator already.
Apparently he just randomly went to her and stabbed her to death, no motive or anything....just something he wanted to do.
If this is the story that I'm thinking about though, I think it happened in Vancouver washington or something.....I can't remember this all happened a month ago.
