If you really want to voice [character here], dub it yourself or audition. Pressuring people into precasting you isn't fair to other people who want to voice that character too.

Don't Say: "I wish someone would dub Zegapain, Gundam SEED, Macross, Nadesico, Eureka 7, Sousei no Aquarion..."
Please be reasonable. There's only so much a bunch of amateurs can do, so please keep it to stuff you think is prime goodness that doesn't get enough attention.

Don't Say: "There should be more Noein fandubs."
Not everyone knows what Noein is. A short summary would be helpful.


Example:
"I would really like to see someone dub Shakugan no Shana. It's an action series. The main characters are a schoolboy named Yuuji and a young girl named Shana. Shana is a Flame Haze, who has magic powers and is good at swordfighting. Flame Haze are special people who protect the world from demons."

And remember kids, nothing beats actually dubbing it yourself. ^_-

I think that people should fandub Elfen Lied. It's about Lucy/Nyuu who is a killer diclonious, which is a rare race that has invisible hands and they are meant to kill people. It's a really strange anime and I love it.

I think someone should dub Sukisyo. (yummy... xD) Especially the valentine's day episode... it's weird, but the ending... is to die for... anyway... Sukisyo is about these two guys, Sora and Sunao (or Nao), who have known each other most of their lives. However, when Sora took a fall from a three-story window, he forgot his past and everyone in it. Both Sora and Nao have inner-egos that come out at certain times. These egos, Yoru and Ran, are in love with each other. As the story goes on, Sora's past and his love for Nao are realized in a truely amazing, sad, and tragic story. Sukisyo NEEDS to be dubbed! (But not by me--I'm too goshdarn lazy!! xD)

I think someone should dub Keroro Gunso. I love this manga/anime to death. Very funny. I don't think its been dubbed officially or fundub-ly.

Keroro is a frog-like alien sent from his home planet on a mission to conquer Earth. But when his cover is blown, his battalion abandons him and he ends up in the home of the Hinata family. There, he's forced to do household chores and sleep in a dark basement that was once supposedly a prison cell haunted by the ghost of an innocent girl. He even spends his free time assembling Gundam model kits. During his stay, Keroro meets up with subordinates who were also stranded during their failed invasion.

(Plus, it has Ishida Akira in the cast! Yah-tah!)

Biased, yes, but I've always thought there needed to be a full Honey & Clover fandub~ I don't think it's even been licensed yet. It's a very cute story about students at an art school and how their lives are entwined, along with their personal journies in life throughout college. Lots of comedy, beautiful animation, excellent characters, a little romance, and drama~! C'mon, what more do you need. :0

Shuffle! is another of my favorites that's hardly been touched in the fandubbing world, despite how good it is.

I also think Parakiss and Nana need more attention~ huge fan of Ai Yazawa here, but I've only seen an occasional clip of either of these series; perhaps five in total, and they're both wonderful, IMO~ maybe not as good as their manga counterparts, but still decent adaptations.

I think we should have more Spiral fandubs or radioplays.....spiral-is about this kid Ayumu who tries to find a clue as to who are these blade children as his brother did, but his brother disappeared one day trying to find the secret to the blade children. Ayumu and his classmate Hiyono try and find the secret to the blade children while solving these clues, mysteries, murders, and riddles........i think i got all the info of spiral and what its about.

but i think there should be more of Spiral (if anyone actually did anything of Spiral that is)

It's the story of two lovers who live in a huge mansion with three (four in Enishi!) CRAZY girls! However, the lovers (engaged, of course) have to keep their engagement a secret! That's gotta be tough! And later in the series, they have to get their relationship approved... but it's hard to do, since their arranged marriage was... anulled?!

Kimihiro Watanuki is a young boy with a cursed gift. He has the ability to see evil spirits, and somehow they seem attracted to himself. One day he meets a misterious woman who names herself Yuuko. She claims to have the means to end his torment, but she never works for free, and she wouldn't help him until he works for her enough to pay for her services. Thus he starts to work in her shop and discovers that in that place, nothing is what it seems.

I would love to see an Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu fandub. That beautiful (if not weird and slightly twisted) anime needs more love. I would also die to see a Nuku Nuku or Blue Seed fandub - old school(ish) for the win! Iriya is basically about mystery and an unseen war, as well as love; Nuku Nuku is about a crazy catgirl; and Blue Seed is about a girl with the bloodline capable of freeing Japan of evil plant-like monsters called Arigami. Those are lame summaries, but all 3 rock hardcore.

I've been thinking about doing a fandub myself, since it was my first anime ever and I haven't really seen much fandubbing of it. Maybe because it's such a classic, and the roles are pretty odd ones to fill.

It's about these teenagers who save the world in mechas by fighting "angels". Ahaha, wow, that sounds really dumb. :) But it's a great show. Lots of stuff goes on between the characters, which is what makes it's so interesting. It's really realistic, too, so it'd be a new kind of voice acting for a lot of us.

Anyways I'd love to see somethin from Street Fight II Victory which is that series based on the popular video game in which you play differnet characters fighting each other xD but in and anime version: Ryu gets an unexpected letter which contains a plane ticket and a fair amount of US currency, along with a cryptic message from Ken that he should come to America. On his arrival in San Francisco (they've been apart for two years), Ryu is astounded at how well Ken seems to be doing. So, of course, the first thing they do is tick off some Air Force types at the Bar

but I know I'll end up doing it myself someday, but someone should do it so I don't have to >D

I REALLY wanna see some AIR TV fandub. I saw a couple but it wasn't any of the good parts D: I'm thinking of just dubbing one myself.
AIR is a kind of odd anime. REALLY different from other ones, I can tell you that much. It's about a young girl named Mitsuki who meets a man named Yukito by coincidence one day. Their meeting seems like coincidence, but it had to be fate <3 You just gotta watch the anime. No one can summarize it. It's just so.. incredible O_O;

Miracle Girls... (which I might actually end up fandubbing this summer...) Which is about two sisters (twins) named Mikage and Tomomi who are the exact opposite of one another and just happen to have ESP/ be psyics... Anyway, they can communicate telepathicly, see into the future, and teleport when they connect their pinkies. They basically try to get through life without having their powers discovered by other people (especially their obsessed science teacher) and live a "normal" life. Also they try to figure out the mysterious connection with a girl name Emma and a princess name Marie (who "kidnapped" Mikage's boyfriend) and "Mr. X" and a legend...

Very cute and different type of magical girl story... ^^

Hmm...I think some high school stuff like To Heart, School Rumble or Comic Party would be nice to see around here. Maybe some other shounen stuff to like Peacemaker Kurogane or RuroKen? Just something a little different from all the mahou shoujo stuff thats being flooded here.

I think that Hani Hani Operation Sanctuary would be a good fandub.
The story is about a high school boy named Naoki who can't remember anything past 5 years ago. He then sees a girl with wings. The wings dissapear and she lands on him and mistakes him for her brother. Naoki also starts having dreams that seem like they show the future and it turns out that there's another him that lives in the future and his other self is the girls brother.
I thought that it was a pretty good show, especially one that's based off a RPG game. Plus there are 12 episodes and each of them are only 10 minutes long so it probably wouldn't take that long to fandub.

Particularly, I want to see Gakuen Alice (And I would so dub it if I had some RAWs ^^UU), Kanon, or Nanoha.
Gakuen Alice is about a 10 year old girl named Miken who is in love with her best friend, Hotaru. Hotaru moves to an expensive school and leaves Miken. After 9 monthes, Miken snaps and travels to find the school Hotaru's at, which turns out to be a school for people with special powers. It's a really cute and funny shoujo-ai series. <3

Kanon is about Yuuichi, a boy who comes back to an old town after 7 years. He doesn't remember anything, and he meets 5 girls. It's a really cute series. I want to see it fandubbed, or maybe a fandom of Kanon 2006, which is coming out soon. X3;;

Lastly, Mahou Shoujo Rirical Nanoha is about 3rd grader Nanoha Takamachi who becomes a magical girl to seal Jewel Seeds, which have ultra powerful magic, and on the way meets a troubled girl named Fate and decides to help her. In season two, she has to help get rid of the Book of Darkness.

I want to see more Noir fandubs. Noir is about two assassins, one without her memory, trying to figure out what "Les Soldats" and "The True Noir" are.

I also know another one I'd like ta see, even though it came out from Geneon recently and the dub was awesome, Kannazuki no Miko. I'd like something done with it cause it's a fun short series about two girls named Himeko & Chikane, who's fate changes when an ancient evil suddenly appears and they must take on the roles of shrine maidens of the Moon and Sun to defeat it.

You know what would be really cool and original? Dubbing Xin. It's an action anime made in flash by LiFe.1. It's really good and voiced by non-professional voice actors like us, or at least they weren't professional at the time. It would be so cool to see that dubbed, although it would be hard because it's probably not for sale on DVD.

Ayame: Blue seed is definitely a great candidate.. the original dub was so hoorendous, but the series is quite excellent.. I have the whole series on DVD and have nearly completed watching it!!

Duck: Fushigi yuugi is quite a good choice, and surpisign noone has done it yet.
ITs got a lot of great twists, and has some really moving and pivotal scenes..

My personal choice would be Saber Marionette J.. The series is really wonderful!
One of the great things about it was the main character is male, but voiced by a female voice actress, (Yuka Imai) and it was so convincing, I couldn't even tell.

Actually another anime I'd love to see a fan dub of is Slayers.. Esp, the scene where they introduce Noonsa.. Its probably one of the the funniest scenes in any anime I've seen.. Captain Tyler would be good too..


Icy: Did you watch the mini episode past the ending credits of the last episode in the end of Saber Marionette J.. If you didn't you missed a huge and amazing twist. You so gotta see it if you didn't :)!! Also, the end of Saber Marionette J to X, is and the last filler episode is quite unusual!! Wasn't expecting it from a mile away.. Then again, I can be really naive!! :)

Yeah, Jing is awesome. I own the DVD boxset and have the OVAs on my computer. Probably redubbing episode 2 + co-producing a scene or something.

Sadly, I can't dub more Shinobuden - my fandubs were removed for "copyright infringement" by the US company that licensed it, so yeah :/ I'm doing a fanfic-type radioplay though.

I know, I know, this isn't the "What are you dubbing" thread (although..maybe we should have one of those?!), so to get somewhat back on topic, it would be cool to see more fandubs of Pita Ten, Samurai: Hunt For The Sword, and--yes, even Bleach.

This is a very rare movie anime and i dunno it can be found anymore but the story is about a boy who gets a pet cat. The boy notices it wasn't like other cats since it had human hadits like reading books and other part. The people found out about it and thought it was a demon. The boy didn't want to give her up but he had too so he abandened her. The boy joined a gang when he was older and found the cat that he took care of when he was little but now she could walk on her two feet and talk like a human.

I love the story and thought i could find a dub of it but found none.

Meh... I loved the Peach Girl manga, but the anime felt so low-budget; I felt it was severely lacking. ^^; Regardless, it does have some nice animation, and the story was still kept mostly intact... I think someone started fandubbing this once, but you know how things go. I might consider it, though. :D Didn't know there was any interest!

Despite the fact that it's already been dubbed in America, I think more Puchi Puri Yuushi / Petite Princess Yucie projects would be fun. It's about a girl who hasn't grown past the age of 10 for seven years, and then discovers that she could win a tiara that would grant her any wish (like growing up!), so she's thrown into a princess school, along with a bunch of other crazy princesses with the same affliction as her, where she does odd jobs and tries to win the tiara (and the heart of a mysterious, rakish young man. :P). And her dad has Brock-syndrome and never opens his eyes. With so many female parts, I think it would do well here... too bad it's licensed. meh.


I honestly can't think of anything else that I've seen that isn't already licensed, done here, or I don't like and don't want to see done.

Slightly off-topic... I want to do a Captain Planet fandub... but... you know... write a new script. Oh the things you can do with a guy in tights, with a mullet.

I don't know if it's been mentioned previously, or if it's already been done/in production ... but though i've seen plenty of Digimon fandubs (more from Adventure 01 and 02/Tamers), I have yet to see anything for Digimon Savers.

Digimon Savers -

Our lead boy, Masaru, is a fourteen year old who likes to fight. Because of this love of fighting, he conveniently ends up fighting a digimon who has escaped from the clutches of DATS, or the Digital Accident Tactics Squad. Yoshino, an 18-year-old girl and an agent for DATS, comes across the battle while tracking the digimon (an Agumon) down to bring back to the lab. Upon watching the battle and seeing the results (Agumon and Masaru become friends), she pushes even more to bring the Agumon back to DATS, and continues to pester Masaru to give up the digimon (which is quite humorous at some points. x3). An old man gives Masaru a digivice. </random> After a battle against a bigger, nastier digimon, however, she sees that the two are meant to be partners, but should he refuse the offer to be an agent of DATS, Masaru and Agumon will be seperated forever.

.... -cough- Thus begins Masaru's adventures with DATS.

Really, it's a lot better than the summary suggests. :3 After the Frontier dissappointment among many people, Savers has redeemed the Digimon series really well. It's the most mature of the Digimon series; all of the kids are older (Masaru and Touma are 14, and Yoshino is the first 18 year old chosen child), and the art style is now VERY different. It looks really pretty. :3 And the storyline ... I just can't get enough of it.

So. Um. Yeah, there's my suggestion. :3

I definitely think there needs to be more fandubbing of old-school anime. Particularly magical girl old-school anime. And I don't mean mainstream stuff like Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and the overdone Tokyo Mew Mew. I mean OLD stuff like Hana no Ko Lunlun, Mahoutsukai Sally, Majokko Tickle... but then again, it's hard as heck to get copies of those anime.
