Hey guys, help needed here.
My friends and I are going to do a Rayearth Cosplay in 2007 (hopefully). We're planning on making the final form of the armor (yeah, the ones with the crazy as hell shoulder pads. That's going to take some brain power on how to make them).
Anyways, since the armor and the swords combined will wear my patience thin, I'm planning on finishing at least two swords and the base template for two more sets of shoulder guards this summer, and save the rest for next.
Unfortunately, CLAMP likes to focus a little too much on Hikaru's crazy as hell sword (I'm already having issues thinking of how to get that thing together.. yeesh..). Fuu's sword is plenty easy to figure out, because it's still displayed rather prominently in the group pictures and the detail isn't as crazy as the other two's.
Umi on the other hand, has a thin rapier and hard to see detail.
I would really appreciate it if someone could find/scan in some close ups of the hilt; especially where the dragon is. My copies of the manga are back in Taiwan while I'm here in Massachusetts, and I kind of have a habit of scribbling all over the prints while planning on how to make the damn thing.
Anyways, in return for scanning/finding close ups (the bigger the picture, and the better the resolution, the better :D), I'll draw a picture of anything you want, within reasonable limits, on an index card and mail it off to you. It'll be a full colored picture with a little thank you note on the back. My art skills aren't all that great, but it's the only thing I can offer.
