Anime Weekend Atlanta 12

Anyone else going to this con in September? I'm already pre-reged, and will be there as Alfons Heiderich, Excel Excel, Formal!Alphonse(You'll see what i mean by that the night of the ball!!!), and a SUPER SECRET COSPLAY. Con badge reads (What else?) "Azysapphy" and I'll have my FMG badge, and possibly a few odds and ends with me for props.

i'll be dressed as FF:AC Yuffie, and a few other costumes... those plans haven't been ironed out yet. >.>;;;

^_^ it's a costume one year in the making....after my friend pulled off "Formal!Ed" in a bright RED tux, i had to make a companion cosplay...Jaime'll be Formal!Ed again this year....and I'll have Pet with me...(my BF's OC)

I got an invite here... not sure if I want to do it due to distance and schedule. If there's already a panel going on, let me know and I'm there! If not then I might just pass on this (or just show up and work some Logistics)

As there aren't enough AVAs in the Southeast, there has never been an AVA Panel. While I could certainly do one myself, who could come?

However, there're lots of panels that are non-AVA related. And it's a neato con.

Well, I don't think I've yet to have an AVA panel that did not surpass 100 as of yet.

Most have gone double than that, so I think that the interest is there. That several members of the VAA/AVA community are asked repeatedly back to cons tells me that there is a definate interest.

To that end, I'm going to drop a line and see if there is time and/or interest from AWA. I found out that my invite from Otakon was indeed a reality, so I might as well make the best of it.

Besides... it's a lot of fun the way we do things up North, and we're happy to share :)

Well that changes everything. Come and I will help you. Seriously. It's not an official VAA Panel unless there's a staff member there, after all! : P

Edit: My confusion lies in that I thought you were invited by a friend to come to a con with them or something.

Seriously though, I just e-mailed them to see if there is interest. If so, then great. If not, then I'll just do my thing.

And no, it was an invite from another party within the industry, not the con itself. I figured that if I'm there already, I might as well do a panel.

Besides, I have all these really nice ADR clips that I can use at least once or twice more before I move on to the next lot :)

So I'll just be there helping out some friends this time.

Well to me a VAA panel would be about the community and what it does. However I've never done one, seen one, etc. so I have not idea.

an AVA panel would be different.

Every panel I've ever been on for AVA has been called Amateur Voice Acting, as per the rules specified for me. I totally agree with where you're coming from.
